Tokitowa “Ultimate JRPG for Anime Fans”

Newly unveiled “HD anime” JRPG Toki to Eien: Tokitowa has been enthusiastically greeted by both anime and RPG fans (admittedly two groups with a great deal of overlap) as the “ultimate RPG for anime fans.”
By Namco Bandai and Image Epoch, Toki to Eien: Tokitowa (“Time & Eternity: Tokitowa”) boasts “2D-styled 3D” graphics, “HD quality” anime, character designs by VOFAN (the Taiwanese illustrator behind the character designs for the ****monogatari series), and animation by Satelight on the production side.
In addition to the traditional 10 minutes of random anime snippets which plague such games, Satelight is supposedly animating the game’s character models as though they were 2D animation to give the game a more cohesive anime feel (motion-capture apparently still being a concept alien to JRPG developers).
As for the game itself, it boasts the all-important generic fantasy setting and a nameable knight protagonist (voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga) set to marry a 16-year-old bishoujo arquebusier (queen Toki, voiced by Kana Hanazawa of Suou and Tenshi fame).
Doubtless, saving the kingdom from an ancient evil with the aid of some other adolescents will also feature. A flat-chested girl with twintails and pseudo-nekomimi features for good measure.

The gorgeous graphics and character designs have earned the title an instant following, with the only concerns being raised relating to its as yet unknown battle system and length:
The game is set for a 2012 release on the PS3, so with any luck an English language release will be available by 2015 – just in time for the console to become obsolete.

If you like JRPGs and other games from Japan, a ps3 is a great system to have. It's region free (with ps3 games) so there's no reason you can't get a game from Japan and play it.

There is tons of great games on ps3 and you miss them because you are PC fanboy?
To be honest, I go get a high-end laptop and get an emulator. Playing at the mall or at a parkbench is more soothing than inside a room.
Consoles cost much less, and take up the majority of the RPGs as exclusives, but they lack the processing power the PC can achieve. PCs have exclusives as well, including mods, which is the majority of my time gaming to be honest. I would just find myself disappointed to be playing a console, but I'm also disappointed at the fact that I won't be able to play this game. Overall it will just come down personal preference I guess, and PC is mine.

You are wrong. The 360 and the PS3 are just as much of a computer as a PC. Heck, the PS3 used to be able to run a full blown Linux based desktop OS before Sony decided to disable it.
The only reason you cannot use either console as a general purpose computing device is because Sony and Microsoft have DRMed the crap out of them.
Objectively speaking, a PC is just superior in every technical aspect. Anything a console can do, a PC can do better. That doesn't mean it's better in all aspects, but if you want the "best of the best" gaming experience, PC is the way to go.

PC is capable of much better graphics then any console. PS3 has what... 8-core 1.4 ghz cpu? so.. 11.2 Ghz processor with little to no grtaphics hardware... most modern CPU are capable of higher speeds than that. When mixed with 3 GeForce GTX580's thats about 20 Ghz processing power...
Yeah pc is more expensive... but if you have the money... who cares. my PC can emulate ps2 at 500fps. i havent tried ps3 emulation but i imagine ill get at least 30 fps. then you just hook up a ps3 controller and boom. you can emulate most consoles... there is no console that plays games from xbox360, ps3, and wii. Computers do, with the right setup. Yeah im a pc fanboy. But I won't buy consoles. much rather spend my money on my computer. Consoles become obsolete before pc's do. My computer can be expanded to keep up with technology beyond 2015. you cant make a playstation 3 faster. Good Day.

That doesn't mean it suddenly becomes obsolete though. The vast majority of PC games are designed to run fine on older hardware, while offering advanced graphics options for those with newer systems. Having a 'gaming computer' doesn't really cost that much either. Most people are bound to have a desktop PC anyway, and making one capable of playing recent games typically just requires a couple hundred dollars worth of additional hardware, and maybe a new video card every few years or so. PC games can be purchased quite inexpensively off services like Steam during their sales, which can offset any differences in the cost of hardware.

There are a lot of great games that are PC exclusives. Perhaps some genres like strategy games and MMOs aren't of much interest to you, but the PC clearly dominates in those fields. There are also mods, which can add completely new gameplay experiences to games, or fix and improve content that's already there. I would never consider buying a game like Skyrim on a console, simply because Bethesda has a reputation for releasing games that feel unfinished in many ways, which can be fixed by mods.

Yeah PC's are overall more capable than Consoles for obvious reasons however consoles bring gaming to the masses.
Owning a Gaming PC, 360 and PS3 isn't all that expensive anymore unless your are like 10 and don't know how to save money. PS3 $250, 360 $200, Gaming PC $1000.. total $1450 USD @ Newegg.

Let me also say that I'm not a PC fanboy OR a console fanboy; it's downright moronic to limit yourself to one or the other when both have excellent exclusives. They both have their place in the gaming world, and anybody who doesn't see that is in denial.
You underestimate console CPU speeds. The 360 sports a tri-core 3.2Ghz PowerPC G5 while the PS3 has a single 3.2Ghz PowerPC processor accompanied by six unique processing elements (part of the cell architecture). Both are pretty powerful in that regard, and from what I've heard no game to date has made full use of the PS3's capabilities.
The GPU in both is indeed dated… they're approximately the same as a 7900GT in the PC world. However, one must factor in that PCs also have a much more resource-heavy OS running in the background and that it's literally impossible for PC games to reach the high levels of optimization that console games can provide thanks to the consoles' fixed, unchanging hardware.
So in essence, while their GPUs might be very close to a PC 7900GT in specs, I'd say they're capable of the performance you might see in an 8600GT or maybe even a 9800GTX on a PC.
Games is all that matters, and by this standard PC is lacking very much so. Consoles have pretty much all AAA's that PC have + tons of exclusives. Well like this one and many more.
and as far as i know 7gen consoles(apart from wii) emulation is still impossible.

I'm not really the opinionated kind of guy, but I think it's unfair to judge people by their preference in consoles or pc and attack them with all kinds of slander.
I for the matter prefer the xbox, the reason I do that is because i feel it has a tighter community and a better and more simple achievement system. There are amazing games for both consoles and for pc. Instead of attacking each other because we don't share the same opinion, why not instead explain why we prefer the system we use and tell others about what we like and maybe recommend it to others.
