I want more of Seitokai Yakuindomo
You and me both. That is one show I don't think I will ever grow tired of.
2, 3, 5, and 7 I agree :)
WTF?! The list is full of shit anime! No Fate/Zero and Persona 4?
It is because they are still on TV. They are classified on 2012
Yup, that had some great comedy in it.
Love me some Seitokai Yakuindomo :D
I agree...it was sooo funny :)
agree. I can't stop watching the opening :)
btw, you'd regret a second season of usagi drop.
yeah that would suck. maybe they should say fuck the real manga ending and make up another ending.
They were kinda going for a 'Kouki's mom' end when they finished with the anime right?
I agree...they could go for a different original ending.
it was the absolutely cutest anime of last season :)
I Know!! screw "Baka no Tests" - rather 'Baka No Tits'. Seitokai Yakuindomo was amazingly sexual while being clever.
OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS ANIME ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My thoughts exactly.
Nice to see people do enjoy simple and sexual innuendo fun.
At least Madoka fans can look forward to being milked in the form of two movies recapping what they saw just last year, and the third supposedly original movie.
tsk, no Stein;Gate
I'd love another Steins;Gate season too, but not sure how they would pull it off if it shouldn't be about slice of life.
Why would they want more Nichijou when they didn't even support the first series, going by sales figures? If they wanted more of it, they sure had a funny way of expressing that.
I want more iDOLM@STER, please!
but Blue Exorcist sux
Strong yes to Usagi Drop. Won't happen though. (Because I did read the complete manga.)
i second hanasaku
Nichijou fuck yeah.
Baka/Test and Nichijou are definitely candidates for more seasons in my book. Baka/Test is an awesome comedy and Nichijou has a flair and style few can match. Not to mention, they were open ended, so new seasons can be added on with no trouble.
Ao no Exorcist should wait until more chapters of Manga are out so that it has something to adapt from. Not to mention the Anime went into a filler ending because of a lack of material to adapt. So maybe a new season should be held off for a while.
Hanasaku Iroha... I personally can do without. The show may have looked nice, but I don't like how many times logical action and good sense were thrown out the window for the sake of "Rule of Drama". I didn't really like any of the characters, with Ohana being a particular thorn in my side, in that she acted something like a female version of a bad Shounen action protagonist: Loud, Obnoxious, Over-eager, and is slightly less oblivious than a sack of scrap iron. To be honest, it a show that I can understand why people like, but I just can't get into due to the aforementioned reasons. Not to mention the show did end pretty conclusively. Although maybe if I liked the show more than I did, I might want a second season regardless.
Ano Hana is a different case for me. While I do love the show to death, I don't feel it needs a second season. The problem of Menma was resolved pretty conclusively, and one would have to wonder what exactly would a second season be about. As Ano Hana was an original Anime, any second season would be a complete blank slate. I could see a see a second season revolving more around rebuilding the relationships between Jintan/Anaru and Yukiatsu/Tsurumi. And that would be a nice thing to watch I think. However while a second season would be nice, I don't think Ano Hana needs it.
I would really like a second season of C3 and Ben-To to be quite honest, as they were open-ended and both were very entertaining. Following that I wouldn't mind more of Kamisama no Memo-cho either. And despite how much I loved it, the iDOLM@STER had a good enough ending to stand by itself.
Until I read your post I was already about to conclude that I've been the only human on earth who actually watched Ben-To ;_;
Seriously, this anime is severely underrated. Concept and premise is so stupidly over-the-top that it borders on genius. The dirty humor is very unique in how it's executed, and quite entertaining. Animation and art are solid. The characters are great too, especially the male lead which isn't a total wuss, and the female lead that's neither your typical tsundere nor kuudere despite her looks (which are insanely cute too). I especially like how the two leads are very close and openly care for one another... it's incredibly heartwarming watching those two interact. Also, no typical harem shit (love triangle at most)...
So yeah, surprisingly, of all shows this season it's that one which I want more of really bad...
Please, no. Silver Link already proved that they don't care about their anime in the slightest and just want to suck viewers money with least possible effort. Look at Minami episodes and forced status quo in the end.
Baka Test turned into generic harem.

Anon, I must ask, why did you expect any form of serious romantic development or conclusion in an Anime which is almost pure comedy? (with some action thrown in for good measure)
Actual romance in the series is almost always used as just fodder for more jokes, and it's been that way since the first season. I say a status quo ending is almost obligatory for a series of this nature, as well as something like WORKING. Pushing for a romantic conclusion in series like those would change the nature of the series entirely. Baka/Test would cease being pure comedy and would loose it's lighthearted tone. It would become a Romantic drama, with comedy and some action. I don't have a problem with Anime that are more romantic in nature, but I do have a problem with shows shifting their nature and theme so much that they loose their original charm.
In order for Baka/Test to stay the comedy that it is, it had to go for the status quo ending so as to keep the harem balanced and open ended between Minami and Himeji. Shift a romantic focus to one of them and Baka/Test would loose it's charm point of silliness, and some of the comedy of the show would be lost. Sure I guess from a romantic perspective that a status quo ending is frustrating, but Baka/Test has never been gunning for the ends which would produce romance, it's been gunning for the ends which would produce the most comedy. It's been doing that since day one, so I see no reason to expect why it would do anything different now.
(And personally, I did like the backstory that was given for Minami as well as the later episodes centered around her, but that's neither here nor there).
As for Nichijou I'm sure it will be coming when there's enough material - currently there isn't. Nichijou has been animated up to almost everything that has been published until volume 7 and that's the latest volume.
@anon 04:11
Ah, I did not know that KyoAni adapted all that it could for Nichijou.
In that case yes, it should wait until there is a reasonable amount of Manga to adapt from so filler and gecko endings can be avoided.
I loved Kimi ni Todoke 2 and I was wondering why so many people in Western anime blogs were putting it down. And wow, people remember Hanasaku Iroha and Azazelsan!
Usagi Drop, Mawaru Penguindrum and Tomodachi Ga Sukunai
I'm surprised Baka and Test does as well as it does on these polls, I thought it wasn't that popular.
Switch Tiger & Bunny with Ao no Exorcist, it wasn't that good.
Wtf?! Ao no Exorcist is a retarded crap! HOW?!
1. Blue Exorcist
seriously? this should have be lower =_=
I definitely had enough of all of those...except maybe nichijou, that could use another 30 or 40 episodes.
i want gintama'
"...such as the entire cast being massacred or the story being tied up so tightly no sensible continuation is conceivable."
Come on. Tiger and Bunny? It'll have a second season, the ending at the first season screamed it. Nichijou is so random it can go on and on without a problem (that's what I want, but I'm pretty sure japan wont find it profitable), blue exorcist will probably have a "let's follow the manga this time" treatment, like fullmetal alchemist. Baka test can go without a problem, hanasaku Iroha has a second season announced if I'm not wrong (I hope it's just an OVA called "back to Kissuiso" so they dont mess up that great anime)
That argument just doesnt make sense.
The list could have been better. But there are definitely some good choices up there. =P
I was just about to go into a rant as I remembered that this is just another "representative" survey.
More Fate/Zero !!!
Mo lies - LIES!!
mieyaoe
Infinite Stratos!
Insert gratuitous scruffy image here.
So yeah second.
Akkariii~ ah yaa forgot they have it already...
Ano Hana.
I don't care how. Just fucking do it.
It feel like just one singular person makes these lists and not 2chan.......................................................................................................................................................................
I still not taking enough picture of Hideyoshi !!
AI WA-N MO-A
Nichijou, Azazel-san, Ika Musume.
Yes, all comedy, because stretching out anime with plot usually leads to horrors like Fushigi Yuugi. I won't mind more Hanasaku Iroha (yay) because you can do slice of life drama for a long time.
I liked the blue exorcist til it went totally away from the manga, which I really enjoying so I disagree, but usagi drop, nichijou, puella, tiger & bunny and azael san where great.
