In my opinion, the first season was great, second was okay, third was meh... I really do hope they up the ante for the final one.
i only really loved saito sacrificing himself against the large army. think it was quite touching.

Agree with the first season, but i think the second season was best because of the seriousness it had. And i think that they could have easily ended the series in the last episode.
The only thing i hated with the second season was the stupid "elf with big boobs" at the end. If they had been smart enough to not use that shit the second season would get a 11/10 for me.
The third season was nothing more than fanservice with a tiny bit of story here and there.
Hopefully the last season will correct that mistake and take it back to the greatness of the first and second season.
The light novels where quite good, I mean what was just after the end of third season was the time when they remade the love potion and it ended in a female orgy with saito watching........ well guess thats why they didnt animate that.
That and the fact saito in novels tried to rape louise a handful times.
What's wrong with elves with big boobs? No one had a problem with pointed ears & big boobs in Record of Lodoss War or in Those Who Hunt Elves. Why a problem now?

If you ask me, the first and last episodes of Milky Homes were brilliant. The concept was interesting and the action was great. Too bad they spent the entirety of the season without their powers...

It was Epic and also I like most of what's on the list except for Prince of Tennis don't get me wrong here I'm not some hater. it's just that for the first few episodes/chapters PoT gave me the impression to take it kind of seriously then...they suddenly get super powers(I was like WTF) I mean eyeshield 21 already screams epic(don't have to make sense) action but...well I do still check it once in a while but just that! XD
Zero no Tsukaima still has a lot of hope, it just needs more character development and reaally needs to take itself more seriously

Honestly, can JC Staff NOT end an episode with Louise going berserk for once... or for that matter, anything that doesn't make Louise seem like such an irredeemable bitch involved in such a forced romance plot (like adapting the damn light novels better; where the hell's this Saito brain-washing tidbit I heard so much about?). Unfortunately, given the way they handled Hidan no Aria (IOW, push the loli tsundere voiced by Kugimiya for all she's worth), my expectations for Zero season 4 have hit rock bottom.
yeah, and if that wasn't bad enough the final episode had to end with a "status quo is god" (for those not willing to click the link, the gist of it is that everything goes back to normal at the end).

I wouldn't have minded all the in-between episodes if they could've actually written some interesting plots that portray the characters genuinely trying to get around the handicap of suddenly losing their Toys (incidentally, the PSP game seems to feature a male protagonist who does just that). Instead, we have their Toys briefly activating whenever convenient, and the rest of the time, the protagonists are just kinda screwing around, squabbling with a horribly incompetent cop who only seems to exist in order to make them look good by comparison. But if season 2 does continue to go that route, at least the villains will always be good for a laugh.

I saw this list on CrunchyRoll and I am surprised that Tantei Opera Milky Holmes is at the top. Guess I have to watch its first season immediately. I am looking forward to watch Zero no Tsukaima and Black Rock Shooter again.

I heard a few months ago the Black Rock Shooter anime was going to air sometime in January. Has this changed?
Black Rock Shooter is truly a heavyweight contender for ratings. I can't begin to imagine why it wouldn't be in this list. Perhaps an oversight was made.

To be fair, Tantei Opera MOST DEFINITELY is the most anticipated anime in 2chan among other boards. For me personally I'm anticipating it the most as well. Just the sheer insane comedy that's just such a weirdly engaging to watch.
I'm also anticipating for Black Rock Shooter too, but no telling if it'll even make this season.
