They both look cute, although of course I think Kirino looks better even though black frilly lace is supposed to be Kuroneko's thing. It's true though, Kuroneko's eyes on this figure do look a bit strange, arguably for the better, but still off.

I was just coming in here to ask this exact question. What's the appeal of maids?
Maids have a certain appeal because many fantasize what it would be like to have someone wait on them. Not everyone can afford the luxury of hiring their very own maid so it becomes a thing of fantasy.
Others just have a fetish for girls in maid outfits.
Pretty pathetic fantasy if you ask me. Wanting someone to wait on you like you're some weak old man? Whenever I think of people wanting maids I think of people who can't do anything for themselves.
That would be more like health care workers. lol!
Girls in frills and dresses, I think, of which I approve.
Girly Taste or a Taste for Girls. There's a thin line there...I think.
Nothing wrong with preferring your ladies looking lady-like. I can't get enough of girls in frills - gothic lolita fashion strikes a big cord for me. That doesn't mean I'd ever dress up as one!
But there are tons of girly outfits out there. A lot girlier than maid outfits too. But people seem to love maids.
Or maybe there's that Goshujinsama angle as well, of which I also approve. <3
