I can't believe how many cliche are able to be fit inside this anime.
It's so hyped up but it turned to be a fail. It does t makeme feel anythingabiur the characters, most if them are all shitty and unable to make me take them seriously anyways. But Shu in particular annoyed me.
The plot is non existent and seems to have gotten the "Star Driver" pattern for each episode. Such a waste of the beautiful art and sound.

Totally agree with you. They basically put every annoying lead-male stereotype into Shu: he's a coward, indecisive, wimp that serves to basically cock-block everyone else around him and whines alot to boot. He's also badly pussy-whipped despite the fact that the girl he likes is an emotionless robot that has been basically deceiving him.
This episode pissed me off even more when he told his friend to go for it, then majorly cock-blocked him at the last moment. SIGH, grow a pair of fucking balls man........

I really don't see where all the hate is coming from for this anime, there's nothing immensely wrong with it, the episodes are interesting enough, sure they're not groundbreaking but they don't need to be.
Plus what is often overlooked.
Shu was essentially as broken as Shinji was at the beginning of NGE. You can't expect such a person to start acting like a Lelouch and take the bull by the horns.
The series is basically about him healing and growing and becoming more than he was before. And as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day, and the same applies to rebuilding a person's psyche.
Takes a while. But once done, you just might be witness to something glorious. To paraphrase Ramirez from Highlander.

Congrats, you're all calling it a copy of GC because of two factors that don't even matter since most main characters have a special ability, and they all have to fight something. I do agree that it's more like NGE though. I'm not seeing any legit reasons as to why you all try to say that the anime as something it's not.
Also, he's a wimp/pathetic character because seeing an almighty character from the start is already boring. You could tell from the beginning of CG when Ledouche starts acting like a god, that he would fail in the end. Death note is also similar to this. I'm sorry but most of you seem to have one-track minds and focus on another anime that has two similarities to this one.
I heard that this show is a really poor imitation of Code Geass with a stupid useless protagonist.
The male and female protagonist are very unappealing. Shu is a wimp and Inori is too boring. Tsugumi and Ayase have more personality than them and their supporting characters.
For people who haven't watched it, don't. Unless you like a mediocre version of CG with bad characters and same plot.
People keep comparing it to CG, but it has more in common with NGE really.
Both Shu and Shinji are the way they are for a reason. Some folks get fired up by adversity like Lelouch, others get torn down, like Shinji and Shu.
But just because they got torn down, doesn't mean they cannot rebuild themselves if given the proper support. And Shu is in a better position than Shinji was in that regard.
I'd rather more coverage on stuff like Mirai Nikki instead of this.

@Anon A single fanservice episode is not enough for that (not counting the boobs/asses shots we have every week), better have this show turned into an Infinite Stratos-like garbage if you want it to sell well this way. Otherwise,you should expect a violent plot twist to easily boost it to 20k without ruining the plot.

Uh... this show needs something bad. The plot is pretty pathetic imo. Every episode is basically following the formula of
1.) oh shit something bad is happening
2.) oh cool the exact power i need to solve the problem happens to be right next to me
3.) problem solved.
Feels pretty cheesy to me so far. Maybe it will improve, but at the moment i'll take a fanservice ep over another repeat episode with a slightly different setting.

GC barely managed that around episode 4-5, the one with "The Matrix Bubbles" gotta admit that was some pretty cool shit.
Aside from that one moment tho not much else good to say about the show. The creators or whatnot were recently interviewed and got jumpy when the question got asked to them about "How do you feel about your show being compared to Code Geass?"

Well, you have 'everyone has a unique weapon' + 'only protag can use it' with bonus 'protag has luck+11'. This is slightly offset by the fact the fact that only Gai can see what everyone's unique weapon is.
Eh, just enjoy the characters and the art. The 'plot' is there just to justify watching this series to people who can't enjoy meaningless fluff like Haganai.
