exploding-chinese-trucks-001

The explosion of a pair of trucks carrying 70 tons of explosives has devastated everything within 3km of the blast, causing hundreds of casualties.

The explosion occurred at 11AM at Guizhou province, when a pair of trucks loaded with 70 tons of explosives spontaneously exploded whilst undergoing maintenance at a repair facility.

Heavy damage to most buildings within 3km of the epicentre was reported, and locals report strange chemical smells. A toll gate adjoining the site of the explosion was all but obliterated.

At least 7 people were confirmed dead, and over 200 have been hospitalised.

The precise cause is not known, but it seems likely making repairs on trucks still loaded high with gunpowder may have had something to do with it.
