Resetting and altering the past is too big of a miracle, sorcery, too sudden and too big of a jump; because 24+23 early episodes are pretty much normal. Yeah, there was a spirit stuff and all, but it's still acceptable.

K-ON wasn't even heartwarming. Azusa cried the last episode, woot. Clannad was not only heartwarming but heartbreaking. I don't think K-ON even remotely deserves to be on this list, let along above Clannad

K-ON should be on this list, but lower. It is heart warming, but not intensely like some anime in the full list.

well i think heartwarming and tragic drama are 2 opposite things. the tragic element only brings down the overall heartwarming lvl. clannad first half was heartwarming. k-on well i'd say every ep aside from the last. aria definitely deserves to be much higher imo though aria the origination was kinda sad as it was building up to alicia's departure and their graduation.

Gosick? It's all kinds of awesome, but certainly not heart-warming. I'm at ep 11 now, and themes covered already include ethnic discrimination, sexual child slavery, arbitrary rule and surprising amounts of blood all set in a generally unjust and rotten world. I hear there will be (implied) organized rape later too.
To be honest I was caught completely off-guard when I started watching it with my only knowledge of the show coming from coverage on this site...
Watch it to the end then. Then you'll know why it is heartwarming. Some things take time to develop you know?
Uhmm... no? It was depressing till the last second. The dream-like end couldn't change that at all. In fact, having just finished it I'm seriously in need of strong happy-pill of a show right now.
It's completely beyond me how people can call continuously heaping suffering and misery on the characters "heart-warming".
It's already been five days since I wrote my comment but I had to say this.
You missed the point of the anime then. It is about two people being together, even when they are apart. Gosick was full of relationships that were against all the odds. That's the heartwarming part of it.
I didn't think the anime was that special when watching it either but after finishing... umm its actually amazing and I really miss it, and its tragic/heartwarming near the last 1/4 episodes.
Ef - a Tale of Memories should also be on this list...
it's sad that it's so underrated... =(
