Sexual Harassment “A Korean Greeting”

The Miss Asia Pacific Pageant has been thrown in chaos with the scandalous accusations by participants that they have been sexually harassed, bribed and told to have sex with the event’s Korean promoters if they want favourable treatment.
According to the accusations of outraged participants Amy Willerton, widely reported in the Korean media, event organisers attempted to spy on the girls in her underwear and intimated to the girls that if they had sex with members of the organising committee they would be assured victory.
“It was absolutely horrendous. I had two of the organisers sexually assault me – one tried to pull my top down. When we posed with sponsors they also tried to stick a hand somewhere inappropriate.
Girls were pulled aside and told they knew what they had to do if they wanted to win – we all knew they meant sex.
When we complained we were told that we would have no chance of winning if we carried on.
We called the police but I then saw one of the competition chairmen pull out his wallet straight away when they arrived.
I was petrified but more than anything I thought I had to get control of the situation and just get out of there.”
One of the committee members then compounded matters with his comments on her accusations, saying “as regards the sexual harassment, part of it is just foreigners reacting sensitively to Korean greetings.”
So outraged were some of the models by their treatment that they fled the country, with one going so far as to record a warning for the benefit of other D-grade models attending such events.
The video, which has been noted as displaying a certain amount of naivete about just how most such events are operated:
The event was won by a South Korean participant, although by then a number of other participants had flown home.
