Yeah, they're going with the "girls with lips" slightly moe look like Denpa Onna. I'm not sure I particularly agree with this style for this show, but it's certainly not a bad thing. In fact, I'd say I'm a fan!

Hanazawa now appears in yet another otaku goth-loli role, and this time she's also the main lead's little sister rather than the little sister's best friend, and to top it off, she's voicing yet another character by the name of Kobato. Talk about coincidences.

The lips are strange because we are not used to them. We have only seen them in Denpa Onna so far, so it's a little off putting at first. I'm getting used to it.

My problem is imoto seiyuu. She clearly didnt give her all. And now imoto character is too off. Hanazawa Kana is much better than what she did in the EP.
Anon you are mistaken. That was done on purpose, as the imouto was attempting to talk in the personality of the character she was crossplaying rather than her own, which was why it sounded so chumsy.
I actually liked the way she voiced Kobato.
Give her some time. HanaKana is obviously still trying to suit herself with this new role after switching from a cool and matured dark haired gothloli to a childish bratty blond gothloli.
