I'd be more impressed with a 1 collectible from a 100 different shows than 100 collectibles from 1 show. The true purpose of a collection should be to show the viewer that you are sophisticated and aesthetic. All this shows is you are a crazy person and a hoarder. Not to get me wrong, there is some good here. The shelves look nice with the coral and shells. But it looks like you just tossed crap on the walls and the one shelf is just a disorganized mess of random shit. Spend some time thinking of layers and display options, and get back to me. Sometimes, simplicity is best.

However the whole 1 thing from 100 different shows is better than 100 items from 1 show doesn't quite fly.
As opposed to say Ika Musume stuff, let's say it was classical paintings. And say someone has a collection of Raphael. Would sticking in a Jackson Pollock or a Warhol or a Picasso make it better?
Styles would clash too much. Better to focus on one style and further enhance the imagery by the choices in display options, how it's organized etc.
