Knowing how fangirls can react to certain romance genres... no way romance is in the 'normal' hardcore category... In fact, especially now that male fans are becoming major fans of romance anime/manga/visual novels now, there's more of the usual influx of the normal otaku craziness there.
I guess it makes sense if they only look at 2ch, but fandom insanity seems to go way beyond forum antics. Like how all those stalking/detective work didn't come from the board, but someone went to the board to post about it.

It must be my lack of knowlage about 2ch. Anyway, they seem scary.
For a domestic example of why it's in nearly first place, look at the Twinklesparklelight series and its fans.
If I had any say, Romance should be on the CRAZED but mostly harmless category. Unless it starts involving voice actors.. Or if it spills into yaoi/fangirl fandoms..

It all makes perfect sense when you realize it's specific groups being targeted one at a time. Everyone's crazy and insane in some way, and everyone takes turns taking potshots at each other.

It's true I really love anime and manga but I have to admit that I unconsciously put more of my interest and attention as well as spending my free time towards stuff like Kamen Rider.
It is a funny thing, because apparently Tokusatsu fans were THE crazy otaku fandom alongside singing idols in the 80's.
