The only "truth" in 2D is what you see. That's my point: 3D can hide "stuff". There are no true 2D "traps" unless it is some weird optical illusion thing.
Look at at this way -- they say "Beauty is only skin deep". That is meant to be a warning about 3D. Since 2D IS only skin deep, there are no worries about what lurks underneath ;)
