Bog Witch Metalica “Nippon Ichi’s Sexiest Dark Heroine Yet”

Nippon Ichi’s newly unveiled “dark fantasy action RPG” Majo to Hyakkihei (“The Witch & The Hundred Knights”) is attracting attention – through mainly due its sexy dark heroine, Bog Witch Metalica.
The plot concerns Bog Witch Metalica’s efforts to vanquish the wicked Forest Witch and swamp the world in bogs, marshes, fens and other paludal biomes, using an immortal magical summons – the “Hundred Knights,” whose role the player takes.
The most notable aspect of the game itself seems to be that veers away from traditional JRPG railroading of the player somewhat – a relatively open world with plenty of sidequests is promised, and as an amoral familiar the player can choose whether to go about things in a benign or malign manner, and be treated accordingly (or, put more bluntly, it may be “Bioware meets Disgaea”).
As for the actual game graphics – once again Nippon Ichi looks set on bringing stunning PSP level graphics to the PS3:

Japanese release is set for the spring of 2012.

Judging by some of those screenshots of actual gameplay, it might be a 3D Patapon hybrid of sorts.
idk my first impression was of a brave fencer musashi simply due to the odd character design and overhead. If so, then I'm def getting this :)

I think nippon ichi really need to re-think its situation. they need to actually start to make dl games on the whole, the games are just to niche to be massive full price sellers. wake up NI before u go bankrupt, it'd be such a shame to see a talented company go under!!! =(

This is quite new, and fresh start for NIS - but I wonder if they'll be able to lived up to their promises because other than the almost above mediocre Atelier and Disgaea latest releases...well...you know...
I'd point you out that Atelier wasn't by NIS, and I'd agree with you that NIS needs to buck up a little these days.

One more L and they would have a lawsuit on their hands. They have already sued over perfume, guitar chords, and sued a 83 yo man out of his buisness metallica tires leaving him bankrupt and driven to suicide. I doubt this will end well even if they did leave out one L they will still be sued if metallica ever see this.

Lets see as far as i know they have sued a 81yo man who ran a company for 37 years called metallica tires who was actually around longer but since he couldn't prove it they won the lawsuit and he became bankrupt.. Then they sued 3 other people for infringing on their name. Then at long last the lawsuit which made their name synonymous with lawsuits which would be when they sued napster. They actually sued more people before the napster thing but no one really cared enough to make it news.
by reading that, I wouldn't be surprise if Metallica sues NIS because of the title of that game.
