3 days ago I got my Minna Dietlinde from Alter. Not going to buy from them again. Why? The non changeable position. I also have Gertrud Barkhorn (from Kotobukiya) and that I have free choice how to position her (angle and height) is much better than just one angle - Minnas "leaned back" position isn't really great. (And quality wise they are at the same level)
Now where is a proper Erika Figure? The ones released weren't great... or Krupinski/Lennartz/Heidimarie, sadly, that's probably not going to happen.
Kotobukiya one's are crap, detail wise..

About the "blue arm thing", yes I was really worried about it in the beginning, but with a screwdriver and a bit fitting, it's sturdy like a Tiger Panzer.
Anyway in case of Minnas Alter vs. Minna Kotobukiya, I chose Alter because of ze better look (just compared Pictures of both at AmiAmi) and I think I did the right choice to chose Alter this time. ;) (That's the good thing about not being a fanboy, you chose the overall better...)
Oh and I want a Edytha and Heinrike Figure too... ;__;

The gun in question is a German MG-42 with drum magazines. It could also be used with Tommy-gun style magazines or banana clips. It is a WWII gun with anti-aircraft capabilities, so it IS very real.
While the gun is real, it is pretty much impossible to wield from the hip. Let alone one handed. Due to its ridiculous rate of fire and the ensuing recoil.
But yeah, poking at the gun seems like a pointless affair in a world with pantsless propeller feet girl flying in the air.

What I'm saying is you can't have a duel-drum on a gun where the eject port is on the right side. MG-34 had a drum, typically, but th MG-42 usually only had a hanging 100 round belt, with the spent ammo ejecting out the right side.
the mg42 casings went out of the bottom of the lower reciever and the right side depending on the reciever style. dual drums can be used for either one though so it doesnt matter anyway.
Obviously it's a magical alternate world version with the MG-42 married to the dual-drum magazine sported by its predecessor the MG-15.
Magical because the M-15 style of dual-drum could not keep up with the MG-42's crazy rate of fire, which is why the MG-42 couldn't use it in our world.
Which was a good thing for the Allies who basically could only attack an MG-42 position while the gun was being reloaded.
