The power of Blu-ray sees fans welcoming in some yuri love between Madoka and Homura, whose naked bodies can now be appreciated in the uncensored glory of their disc release.
Well... if you really took the time to look at it like that, then yeah, you're just a dick and the anime wasn't for you ^^
Honestly, yeah, it is sad. If you're the type of person who sees the world as hopeless all the time, it's easy for you to look at that and go 'obvious,' but for those of us who haven't given up on life, trying for a happy family when there's nothing obvious that says unhappiness is a foregone conclusion is something noteworthy. Plus, you do not choose who you fall in love with, and if it was the dream of someone you love to have a child in her short life, then really what have you to lose? Plus the fact that they never actually explained her illness means that it's not as cut-and-dry as you seem to make it. It's left intentionally vague. And her parents were healthy, so your 'genetics' argument is as weak sauce as you claim the plot to be.
So really yeah, if you were so weak-willed to go something along the lines of "It's a cartoon" in order to protect yourself from feeling emotion, that just means you're weak. No sauce involved this time ^^
i dont think they want you to feel sad for him derp. they want you to feel sad for the girls who died and couldnt have a normal life because of a sickness. you retarded.
bah! clannad was a massive stupid joke of a story~ dude knows his chick is WEAK and has been sick MOST OF HER LIFE, so he fucks her and KILLS her by carrying a child~~ boo the fuck hoo~

Genes being what genes are and we all already know the dude is a noodle with a drunk of a father, so the child inherits the "I be so dead soon" strain and promptly crocks to boot! and we're suppose to be feeling bad about a moron at the end?
WEAK SAUCE
uhm. hatign aside, back to the main topic. madoka cant be reborn, she never died after all. she becae a force of nature. a spirit if oyu will, and as removed from the timelines, meanign she was never born and always was a force of nature/a goddess now. she didnt just becoem one, she changed everyting so that she always was one.
I can't feel anything for this pairing. Homura devoted her entire life to a girl she met a month before making her contract, just cause she's so desperate and lonely that she couldn't move on without her. Then she goes on to act like a total prick and talking in ominous riddles that don't help anyone. What little current timeline Madoka knows of Homura was pretty hostile until the finale.
Lol, obviously you didn't like the character. It was very obvious from episode 1 what Homura's intentions were. She had better intentions than Mami did in the main arc and even though she was cold; there was a reason for her being cold... to make mahou shoujo look unattractive so Madoka wouldn't want to make a contract... Not only that... after losing a good friend, over and over, yeah... you start to go a little numb and cold... especially when you know you can repeat it...
Homura owed her existence to Madoka. If Madoka didn't friend Homura, she would have stayed a meek, timid, frail girl, who would have lived a boring lonely life.
Granted the hardships Homura had to go through, but what a life to be able to live! Homura owes all of her strength and resilience because of Madoka.
that could have been anyone. Madoka just happens to be the first person to have said something nice to Homura. It's like the show's trying to tell us that Madoka's the only nice person in the world, and Homura wouldn't be able to move on without her.
Agreed. After watching Madoka do nothing but cry for 11 episodes, she saves everyone just by wishing for it. The worst part is the show goes out of it's way to tell us that she shouldn't throw her life away. She does it anyway.
Maybe it was for a good cause, but it still felt sour after the show went out of it's way to tell us she has a good life and she shouldn't give it up. But at least she won't be missed.
Anon @8:54 - Do you really think that Madoka threw her life away? She does not see her decision as a sacrifice, before or after it. While I agree she cries a LOT, her actions just seemed to fit her personality. It made here more real to me.
So many shows just have them kick butt. Madoka kept her weakness and reluctance. She made the only choice I can conceive as being the right one.
I felt the show threw us into the tragic (and too unrelenting) to really feel anything for the characters. Sure sad things happen to them but sad things happen to everyone.
Take Mami for example. We only knew her two and a half episodes, we get a tiny bit of her backstory, and we're supposed to cry for her? We barely know her. You could invoke the same level of sadness and shock value by showing a puppy get killed.
After all the hype I was hoping the action would live up to that of Nanoha or Heartcatch, but instead it's always a cheesy dramatic last minute save and a fight that ends in less than two minutes.
Madoka's only appeals are to those who love being trolled with shock value, and nerds who actually waste their time analyzing all the runes and cheesy religious symbolism. Without those it's nothing but plot holes and off model animation.
I'd say about 95% of other animes have more plot holes, poor planning, and terrible attempts to include a plot... How many animes are harem / slice-of-life for 7 of the 12 episodes then try to shove a plot in at the end? Seriously... Your calling this over rated? lol.
Nope. He's calling it a pretentious piece of shit. The show fronts itself as deep and meaningful, but enough shock value and symbolism can serve as make-up for even a plot as obvious as this one.
The fact that people think the show would be mediocre and generic if the girls didn't die says it all. Death and shock are good enough to pad any bad writing.
So, that black mist in TV series is actually a fan service in the last minute of show.
Well, I don't mind that. Just search H-Doujin for more explicit fan service. /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
I don't think that it really matters whether they're naked or not, one shouldn't be able to see through the tears being shed.
Yeah I couldn't really see this scene as sexual.
I wish we can have a second season where Madoka is reborn and gets to meet Homura again. The ending was one of the saddest yet the best.
@12:33

^ Looks like someone cried over Nagisa's death and is still in denial
obviously you haven't seen Clannad
Clannad takes the cake in the "tear-jerker" category. Anohana is in the next tier. Madoka was sad, yet too awesome at the same time.

Yeah,i belive animes are not just for service but something more.

scout: IMA FORCE OF NATURE
@ 05:59
No other mahou shoujo's gonna do that.
Can't have a cheerful fluffy end without a good dose of suffering. ^_^
No because being Meguca is suffering
This scene made me cry too...
This scene made me want to fap, wait no where are the nipples?
lol crybabay
that said I can finally download it and watch
The only thing sad about it is that now Madoka will never get to drink with her mom like she wanted. Not that her mom will remember. > >

Do you want to explain love?

Win. But I do agree friendships worth dying for (or true love) don't happen in the span of a month. But that's fiction for ya.
On the bright side, no Bernkastel emerges from Homura's time travel.
oh common, it wasn't that good. i really expected more of this show.
and i am no insesitive monster i have shed quite a few tears with anime.

Compare to K-On!, which is more overrated?
It was a good anime, no doubt. But it is seriously overrated.
oh common, lol

It really wasn't. After all the hype I was expecting something a lot more. I've seen so many anime just like this it's not funny.
After all the hype I was hoping the action would live up to that of Nanoha or Heartcatch, but instead it's always a cheesy dramatic last minute save and a fight that ends in less than two minutes.
madoka is one of anime that drag male audience not because of the sexual or moe appeal but mostly because the storyline is well written and epic.
Heeeeeeeeeell no.
Madoka's only appeals are to those who love being trolled with shock value, and nerds who actually waste their time analyzing all the runes and cheesy religious symbolism. Without those it's nothing but plot holes and off model animation.
it had enough original elements and music to appeal to a wide range of people actually

You're one who is still stuck on the runes and religious symbolism.
No QB dress omake...WHY.JPG
You really want one?
Make a contract and your wish will come true!!!
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
I cried a lot...
I haven't watched the series yet, and it sure looks yuri to me, fufufufufu.
Well, if you're planning on watching it you're gonna be sorely disappointed at the lack of yuri.
fap fap fap fap fap madokaaaaaaa

If you find yuri doujin of Madoka page me. All I fan is disgusting gang rape and stupid hetero stuff.
and not a single nipple was given that day.
