Moeblob fans have been marvelling at K-ON!’s “Ho-kago Tea Time Train” wrapping/takeover campaign – there can be no doubting the inescapable power of K-ON!, for those stuck using the train at any rate.
The train in detail:
The wrapping is due to remain in place until the end of December, running on Keihan’s Ishiyama Sakamoto line.

You gotta hand it to the japanese to do such radical changes to a train for an anime movie. Never in any other country, maybe some posters up on the windows, but never the interior decor and stuff. So bravo, Japan.
needs more trains in japan dedicated to particular series. :3. wouldnt mind a train that goes under water with a Ika Musume theme. though I am surprised K-on gets theres and Miku does not (as far as I know of)

With so many K~On Otaku lurking the stations, what I would like to see is a follow up "artecle" of what these otaku will be doing to these trains after they hit the rails.
Will they be grabbing & ripping off unique pieces of collectables - because this is a virtual commemorative celebration of K~On Otakuness!
Even though most of the posters are screen shots, from the series - surely there will be a few that are screen shots of the actual movie, which will be instant rare items.
Certain husbandos will have the bragging rights of obtaining these exclusive rare items.
At least before the K~On Haters start to deface and vandalize them.

Actually they've been using this nearly completely covered type of advertising on the 42nd-Grand Central shuttle from time to time for a few years now. And they typically have even less uncovered space than the pics here.

I actually live in Japan and frankly... if I saw the train coming I would simply keep waiting for the next one on the schedule. Sure am glad I don't live in Shiga.
