A list of 9 hobbies which will purportedly cause any right thinking male to spurn any woman so deviant as to pursue them is currently the subject of much attention online – boys love, online gaming, visual-kei and, of course, anime figures, all seem to be regarded as shortcuts to spinsterhood…
1. She loves Korean dramas so much she makes regular trips to Korea

2. She collects bishonen or bishoujo anime figures

3. She loves reading “boys love” homosexual male romance novels and manga

4. She’s glued to her PC playing online games
“I have the impression these kinds of people spend all their holidays cooped up in their dirty little rooms” – man in his twenties
5. She’s makes a hobby of constantly observing other people in public

6. She’s an idol or visual-kei groupie

If the list is to be believed, about the only safe things for women to like are probably cooking and Hello Kitty – though not too much in either case.
Actual Japanese males (or those on 2ch at any rate) are surprisingly magnanimous about the list, as might be expected of the desperate:

Honestly if a girl just be’s herself does what she likes and whats right, if she syncs with you the 9 lists thing wont matter 😉
9 hobbies? what happened with the usual 10 hobbies?
1. This would kinda bother me but more because of economical and environmental reasons. I guess I’d also be a bit concerned if she’d get too weird ideas from the dramas…
2. Pfft, if I had a better income I would collect figures myself… If she had a figure collection, I would probably not mind at all taking a day just going through it together with her.
3. Well, I’m a yuri fan, so it’d feel a wee bit hypocritical of me if I thought badly of a girl for being into BL.
4. Depends on what online games she was playing. If it was a multiplayer game that I could get into I’d join her, if not, well, then the relationship would probably crumble pretty quickly…
5. Define “observe”, please. Because I tend to spend a lot of time looking at people. How they dress, how they behave, what they talk about and thus consider to be important in today’s world et c. et c.
6. If she’s willing to have me for a boyfriend she has a realistic enough perspective in my eyes. There’ll always be someone better out there, but if she realizes that she’s better off settling for something a little closer to Earth, that’s all I need to know to feel reassured.
7. As long as her modifications aren’t hazardous or illegal I would quite honestly consider it a pretty cool hobby to have.
8. Once again, I’d be fine with that. Just because she likes MA doesn’t mean she practices it and even if she did, well, athletic and strong girlfriend! I’d definitely have nothing against that. ^^
9. Okay, now, THIS would be something I’d see a problem with. It’d be squandering money, basically flushing them greens down the toilet, not to mention the hazards of addictions… No, THIS I couldn’t accept.
