As part of the marketing efforts surrounding the upcoming K-ON! movie, the Keihan Electric Railway Company will actually be running a “Ho-kago Tea Time Train” in nothing less than full moeblob livery.
The train will be running on Keihan’s Ohtsu line from the 22nd of August, with each carriage given K-ON! themed “wrapping” (wrap advertising).
In addition, the trains will be accompanied by the obligatory otaku exploitation goods – in this case, various specially illustrated tickets.
but the question still remain, does it serve tea?
you should mention Otsu is (or at least near, I’m not sure) K-ON’s setting.
Well, can Ishihara gets moefied?
Will they play K-ON tunes on the train.
Very nice! I like both K-On! and trains, as old Model Trains otaku. Japanese trains of any type & time period are interesting and mostly beautiful.
