After her last appearance in Japan being widely reviled as a disaster, Miku fans have hailed her latest appearance as being perfection itself.
Held in Sapporo, “MikuPa” (or “Hatsune Miku Live Party 2011”) seems to have been very well received by fans, although there are still a substantial number who refuse to forgive the organisers (5pb) for the debacle of their last live event.
In fact, 5pb are fast developing an unenviable reputation as being opportunist exploiters of the Miku fandom – tickets for the event are ¥5390, a 36 page event pamphlet costs ¥4000, and a Mikupa totebag is a further ¥2,000…

WORLD TOUR DAMMIT!!!
YOU HEAR ME CRYPTON?! WORLD TOUR!!!!! orz
It would be so awesome to have a world tour lol I wouyld seriously try to go all the concerts lol..
World tour?
Thats a little silly; who needs a real world tour when the artist doesn't exist.
I mean, Miku has the advantage of being able to make more than one "live apperance" at once.
"The artist doesn't exist"
You must be kidding. The "artist" is the composer of these songs. Those are all the different producers, some of whom you see in the concerts performing alongside the band members.
If you mean to say the "performer" doesn't exist, well that's not true either. Miku *exists*, she may not be a live human but that doesn't mean she doesn't exist.
Now, Simone, a virtual singer based around a similar idea, SHE doesn't exist. She's just a character in a book. You can't buy her and use her to sing your own songs.
But you can with Miku!
Considering you need a special TV to project her, and the fact that there is only one such TV in existance, I would say you cannot have miku perform in more than one place at a time.
Are you IPLYING that this couldn't be mass produced?! DAMN man, stop trying to ruin everyone's deepest MikuFantasies©!!
Special TV...? What...?
You mean the projection screen? And projectors?
That's not too hard to come by...
Yoshii-Kun's right! I have specially saved 3 trips worth of money for THIS!
I say petition for world tour!
Saw it in L.A. AnimeExpo 2011, umad?
Looks like 5pb realized they could not do miku on the cheap.
They should never EVER spare any expense on our Queen, or its leek probing session for everyone...
I see the crowd are armed with leeks in case it came to that...
Leek beat down.
Those were in preparation if 5pb screwed them over again.
Glad this concert went off better, Even though the organizers are still showing a bit of greed and ugliness.
The fans of Miku, And other vocaloids really need to stand up for them and not take so much crap from the event organizers.
Besides if Miku was real.. I think she would fire the lot and start over and not let the fans suffer for it.
Still I am glad that they did the actual concert part right, or so it seems.
At least Miku won't be sleeping with the band members
But you can get a Miku dakimakura...
...and news about Hatsune Miku is always welcomed on SanCom.
I still don't know how he didn't realize that was a completely plausible and viable situation considering the existence of dem dakimakura. Good thing Miku everyone gets a Miku for their own... except the concert ones... and everyone loves to share those already.
Pfft, you haven't read the doujins I have then.
Maybe the band members have their own holograms, though.
wrong, she can sleep with everyone
Does it matter when its creepier fans treats Miku like they were spurned lovers again and again?
A friend of mine got to go. I am infinitely jealous. They better do a U.S. tour for her.
Such an amazing concert!
They did
They did a concert in LA, one concerts not a tour.
inb4 slowpoke
They did a concert in Los Angeles here in the USA, and it was very well received by fans and newcomers alike...
(I sadly could not go too due to spending all my money buying the "4-piece Tako Luka plushie set" and reserving a Limited Edition of "Disgaea 4" from Nisa's website and "Dead Island"...)
If I would have known in advance...Ugh...
I am hoping they will do another one a little bit nearer to where I live...
Maybe in New York or something~
I would not mind spending $500+ to pay my respects to the Songstress of Leeks and her wakilicious friends...
Indeed, the concert was very near me. I found out about the event months in advance but the tickets were sold out long before that. I would have skipped work to make it.
They need a much bigger venue!!! The cost of each ticket was only $15. No wonder it sold out.
Well, $15 plus the cost of the pass to AX, which was ... $45? $55? at the door for a one-day. But then you also get the opportunity to see Kalafina, and both concerts were AMAZING.
Yes, New York please I would kill for that :'L
She even has her own rehearsal session, how cute :3

Is it just me or did someone else misread it as "Mikupad" at first glance?
The note does look like a "d", so its not just you.
Better to read it as ミクパ♪ instead of the English equivalent for clarity sake.
This time, they've done it really well. Well, they do learn from their mistakes.
Those holographic projections remind me of Akanegasaki Sora somehow...
Assuming the above, lol'd hard at "she cannot be in multiple places at once" comment... if you know what I mean. ;)
Ahaha! Ever17 reference? Xbawks360 port (remake?) looks like a shit though.
Wow. I'd need a hit of acid before I watched something like this and I don't do drugs, no sir!
Look at her rehearsing. Marvelous!
Blu-ray fo THIS concert when?
~16 November (dvd and bd with spring and this MikuPa's together)
I hope they gonna have a concert here in the Philippines, but too bad, the Philippine Government doesn't allowed this....EPIC FAIL
cool
I bet they can't wait for home-use holo applications.
Well, I'm kinda interested too but the general image of holo will be completely delusional.
I was there last night, will also attend today's concert later. The concert itself was definitely amazing! However, I am disappointed with the official goods, all of them being leftovers from the March concert. I don't really feel like buying a "Mikupa live in Tokyo" pamphlet, T-shirt or similar when these concerts aren't held in Tokyo.
oh hell yeah... GO MIKU!!!!
wah beacon wrapped hotdog~
Why did they think that was a good idea again?
because bacon wrapped hotdog is the official hot dog of LA, Miku was visiting LA, and it was suggested she try one.
Ah, see, this comment puts everything back into perspective. Now it all makes sense!
I had no idea that was the case, and I figured (like most other die-hard Miku fans) that Toyota was just pulling weird stunts because they didn't completely understand the fan-made aspects of Miku's character (like her love of Welsh onions).
Though the commercial in question DOES make her say "I LOVE BACON WRAPPED HOTDOGS" so it doesn't really make it look as though she's trying them for the first time, like the commenter implied.
Oh well... maybe Google Chrome will sponsor the next American tour, considering the popularity of the Tell Your World video...
Cheh, I'm not in Japan atm :\ But even if I was I wouldn't have the money to go v.v
