K-ON! Goes To London – “Hopefully They Won’t Be Mugged!”

The upcoming K-ON! movie has been revealed as taking place in London, an unfortunate choice of setting in light of recent events.
The salient details about the movie are that the girls resolve to go on a post-graduation trip to London, taking Azunyan along with them.
The movie itself opens in December, in the form of a December roadshow with complicated and (so far) completely sold out ticket arrangements.
Kyoto Animation are probably cursing themselves for not picking Paris or New York at this stage:

As someone who lives in the UK, why the hell would they want to come to this hellhole?
There are hundreds of better places in the world to visit, and the UK isn't one of them.
But setting the film in a hellhole builds dramatic tension.
While they're at it they should also visit Iraq, North Korea, or Somalia, that'll really make the film interesting...

There's a bunch of "nice" places to visit when traveling to another country, but to someone who's been living there all his life, such places probably don't look as nice, just "ordinary".
1. Insanely greedy prices (One 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola for £1.50; fuck off.)
2. Awful food
3. Horrible people (E.g. The guy who got mugged by those 'samaritans') or just the current generation of inbread morons in general.

Wow, as a Brit I feel honoured by this news! Usually the only foreign material Japan gets is America. So London really is the only other English speaking choice tbh. Besides Japan likes cliche and we've got plenty of landmarks for them to draw.
Parliament, Big Ben, the Thames, the Underground, Buckingham palace, Abbey road (definitely!), the O2, Trafalgar square, the millennium wheel/bridge.

Thats because for the japanese, Europe is only Italia, England and France. And south America is only Brazil, and for the japanese, Brazil is a jungle with monkeys and green monsters. They have a lot of cool places to use in anime and games, but they always choose the same places with the same cliches (the rich french girl who is half japanese, the American girl with big tits, etc etc).
