Madoka fans can now re-enact familiar scenes of mahou shoujo abuse on the PSP, whilst getting hold of a rather impressive selection of special edition goods, thanks to the upcoming “sparkly magic adventure RPG” by Bandai Namco and Nitroplus.
The limited edition of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Portable comes with a complete otaku starter kit in the form of a Madoka Figma, QB pouch, Homukerchief, art BD, Shaft designed box, and special UMD. A game is also included.
A kitchen sink is not included, although for the ¥12,000 price tag it very well might be; release is due March 15th, 2012.

Yet another game that is beyond my reach due to lack of understanding T-T
You should hope that the creators one day will understand that translate their games to universal language can boost up their sale.
censorship, duhhhh thats why no one bothers. the world don't understand the level that the japanese are at.
It helped Recettear and I'm digging that games sense of humor.
Not all developers are Capitalism-ho!
After the Rapelay thing, the situation has only gotten worse.
Sadly that is not so will all games. With a game that isn't so text heavy it's fine, but some games cost more to translate than the sell outside of Japan.
It's a business risk of course. If their game is not good then they will fail. But they slowly make a name for themselves, gain their own customers and it will grown through the time. If they don't do anything, they will just end up in Japan alone.
you should learn japanese and stop whining, simple as it.
I started learning Japanese about four years ago. Now I can enjoy all the Japanese games and visual novels in the original language and without the need of any (fan)translation whatsoever.
Conclusion: TOTALLY WORTH IT! :3
No seriously, just learn the language. It might take some time to learn the basics of the Japanese script (I'm looking at you, goddamn Kanji characters!), but it becomes gradually easier after that. The grammar is even easier than in English (I shit you not!).
Oh, and you'll be able to troll those guys who're always complaining when an anime/game is Japan-exclusive or are bitching when a game doesn't get a translation patch.
Oh, those delicious tears...
@ anon 13:18
Er, you are the one who needs to open your eyes and face reality. Anime based games are just not that popular outside Japan. Since the main market is in Japan, why the hell would they bother to translate it if 99% of the population speeks Japanese? Even if they do translate it, the increase in sales would be infantismal and not worth the time and effort. If you live overseas and want the game, you can either import the game and learn the language or shut the hell up and deal with it.
If games are proven sellers, they will get translated and released overseas. Good examples would be the Pokemon and Final Fantasy franchises.
Yeah. People need to stop being lazy and get fluent whole other languages to play a game.
I started learning Japanese four/five years ago. Now I can play and understand Japanese games with almost no problems.
TOTALLY WORTH IT! :3
@anon 2:29
I couldn't agree more. I've been learning the language for several years myself, and it really does seem to be the best solution when you've got interests such as this (besides which, it can be a truly fun experience if you're interested in the words being spoken by your favorite characters). Without knowing the language, there's nothing for you to do but succumb to the will of localizers, hoping they'll release a game of interest, and getting disappointed when several of them don't make it. There are also those situations where you do get a localization, but it's considerably dumbed down for the western release. Likewise with anime and manga, you have to rely on a middle-man company (or fan translators, who manage to be far more reliable than, say, Viz). It's also great in that you can indulge in the Japanese fan community (and god knows few people are gonna bother translating websites and most pieces of fan art, though hentai doujin tend to get a pass).
If Final Fantasy is not in English, I doubt I can find this tittle years ago, don't even care to play because I don't understand a shit about the story. Stand on the head of the project, as an investor, you should know that if the game can't catch the consumer attention first the game wont sell. That's why advertising come in handy.
Feeling that their game should not be translated is bullshit of the shortsighted people. They should understand why their games can't sell on market to improve it next time. Selling only in Japan is kind of mentally masturbating. They should put themselves on the world market level. (If they have enough ambition)
just wait for english version or someone with hacking capability + japanese knowledge to make an english patch.
@ Anon 02:29
Humble sir your words are quite the inspiration
My love for anime can increase 10x if I just learn the language.
My college has a Japanese class I just fear that if it doesn't work well it can really damage my GPA, still going to try.
I missing out on so much ;_;
While I do agree that Japanese games should be released in English as well, it is because I have a selfish perspective.
If they were to release the games in "the most used language in the world" they would release a Chinese version.
Of course, if the Chinese want something, they'll just plagiarize it anyhow.
No. The Japanese should just adapt to the new market realities - English is still the most used language in the world - it only makes sense to use a language everyone knows as a language base for any game. Saying that one should learn Japanese and stop whining...is in essense not seeing the big financial picture - in all honesty, with the recent Japanese nuclear crisis putting a large dent into multiple industries, most definitely their gaming industries, the Japanese gaming companies need all the ideas they cant get.
Meanwhile, I'll procure this game.... um..... somehow.... $150 is... yep.. I'll "procure" it.
なぜあなたは理解できないのですか?
So god dosen't speak japanese?
that explains alot!
Pic 15.
It;s useless Mami. Give up lol.
Wow this looks interesting. They let us control Mami before she meets Charlotte. Win to lose huh.
Mumi why
>Win to lose huh.
Pic 17 appears to be the Sayaka-Witch familliars vs Mami, which means I think there is a Mami-Survives end.
Yeah, in game format, there's the possibility for the situation follow multiple paths. They don't have to directly follow the anime to remain faithful to it, since even in the anime events proceeded differently each time. It's also possible that time may have been reset on more occasions than was shown.
It would be great to have a game where you played solely as Homura, and your interactions would determine how events transpired each time through. There could be lots of different bad-ends, after which time is reset and you start over. Perhaps the available dialog options would change each time through to keep things fresh, causing the story to branch in numerous ways.
Madoka in costume? Actually fighting? Schweeeeeet~
What I was expecting: Press X to cry. Prety Y to cry.
Or worse. ESCORT MISSIONS. Having to protect that useless sack of tears through each dungeon.
Artefact leaving out that it's just a dungeon crawler on purpose or....?
I'm getting vibes from this screenshot:

PERSONA 4's battle with Shadow Teddy comes to mind~
The rest below that remind me of the Shadow World inside the TV...
Madoka's witch dimensions do share similar surreal/crazy/disturbing vibes with the shadow realms from Persona.
Persona invented awesome.
"Pussy faggy Hanuka Shangrila" has nothing to compete!
we get to be QB?
WIN
There is already at least a game that you play as QB.
TAKE ALL OF MY GRIEF SEEDS. ALL OF THEM!!!

pic 15, confirm as the game over battle.
Madoka is religion.
Meguca is suffering
umm... Queen's gate spiral chaos?
yeah that would be cool if madoka joins qgsc. :)
I loled at pic 015. Dredged up interesting memories...
Why does this remind me of Devil Survivor?
But anyway, get here so I can play you.
I believe there is NO English translate or US/north America version forever!!!
THE PROMO HAS BEEN STREAMEDDDDD!
Though I'm not sure whether this game is any good. http://mon0r.com/2011/08/13/madoka-magica-portable-psp-game-promo-video-streamed/
hmm from the looks of it seems like a dungeon dice kinda game
Is it an RPG? Might buy if it looks cool.
But does it have a fan-shocking pregnancy ending?
Whether or not I understand this game, it is still worthy of me buying the LE with all the goods packed inside. :)
Damn, I want that QB pouch >:D ...only 12,000¥ huh.... I'll think about it
ohshit PMMM has been persona-fied!
This game would be so much better as a God of War style hack 'n' slash instead of a a traditional RPG
Being a DS user is suffering....
Specially because the system is already pretty much dead because of the 3DS, I guess?
