It's definitely a problem with their memory span... I really can't take any list they make seriously because it appears as though all of them only started watching anime recently.
Plus a lot of these shows aren't even highly rated...

I don't know why these made the list but I am certain that they are popular because they are good. (Think that goes for the others as well)

I agree with you, but i can understand people looking a little in older series thinking, for example "why people is commenting so much of 5 cm/s and not about Hotaru no Haka". I can understand the series in the list are good, but you can't deny there's LOT'S of older stuff that are much better. So, the series in the list are popular not only because they are good, but because they are relatively recent too.
Haterz gonna hate. The manga is almost always better than the anime for any series, and that's what I tell myself about the appearance of these entries on the list to help myself feel better.
How can Denpa Onna be overrated? It didn't even got that much attention, and i fail to see how it didn't meet expectations...
Same with nichijou it didn't sell that well either.

It's amazing how these lists are always limited to shows from the last one or two years (with a few exceptions). You'd think anime didn't exist until recently. ;)

No its more like I watch anime to escape reality as I have a crappy life, not to make me feel even crappier. That's my take on liking shows like K-On, but yeah sometimes I do want to watch something that makes me think and there are still plenty of anime out there for that.
