    Actually it's only in the U.S. that Poison is a pre-sex-op. In Japan it's all female. Something to do with concern of hitting girls. Weird considering Chun-li already existed but there you go.

    No, in Japan when she was first introduced she WAS all female. When Final Fight was brought over to America, it was through Nintendo, and back then they werent very comfortable with men beating up women. So the japanese representatives at the time, desperate to keep her in the game, said that she was actually man that looked like a women. Nintendo didnt buy it and as such she was replaced with some generic male fighter. Ever since then, her gender has been a mystery with some controversy thrown in for good measure.

    The character appearing in "Mighty" is actually not Poison, but the younger sister, "Poison Kiss" (this one being a real woman). Poison was a selectable player character in "Revenge," and in contrast to the original used a variety of whip attacks.
    In the Japanese version of the ED supplement, "he" is actually designated as a real woman. Futhermore, Poison acts as Hugo's manager in the "Street Fighter III" series (2nd and beyond).

    she was a guy in the use because it was a beatem up, not just a fighting game. and there would be 3-8 poisons on screen at once.

    that said, i prefer her a pre op tranny, some how i find that far sexier than just a... psycho looking woman.

    Not a fan of traps, but as almost anything actually considered a trap in anime form has fairly small or covered breasts and Poison's got epic cleavage going on, I don't think of her as one. Still, that won't convince anyone I'm sure.

    i don't give a dam, she's a female in my book. America can go shut it if they don't like it. honestly there is no difference,, most people would still consider her a "her".

    to add, America is very sexist. it's ok for guys to get beaten up by women but not the other way around... so u know what. people who think she's a guy can shut it. people that consider her a "her", u guys rule.

    designers had female in mind when designing the character. not enough plastic surgery can change the anatomy of a male bone structure, and it's clear that Poison has a feminine stature.

    Sorry but no, Poison was not originally female in Japan. According to Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono Poison is and has always been a man from his/her first appearance in Final Fight.

    For the last effin time, the ONLY reason why Capcom was forced into the whole tranny thing with Poison was because of douchy American soccer moms complaining about man on woman violence after seeing their kids play Final Fight.

    M.U.G.E.N. Marked the death of street fighter, kof, mk, and every 2d fighting game, qualities like ths will mark the end of 3d fighting games.
