shrouded-schoolboy-necrophile-being-interviewed-by-police.jpg

A schoolboy who sexually defiled the corpse of an elderly woman who had committed suicide has been arrested.

The incident occurred in the Southern Korean city of Cheongju when an 18-year-old high school student called police at 3AM one morning, reporting that he had found the corpse of an elderly woman in the flowerbed outside an apartment building whilst about the town.

Police conducting an autopsy of the cadaver, that of a 69-year-old resident of the building, concluded that she had committed suicide by jumping from the building, having suffered from depression. Her death was recorded on CCTV.

However, they also soon discovered that after death the corpse had been stripped, raped and stabbed repeatedly.

Taking the boy into custody, police found he readily admitted having sex with and stabbing her corpse, sayingthat “I just wanted to touch her” and that he “wanted to see what would happen.”

Police report being shocked at a complete lack of remorse on his part; he is said to be undergoing psychiatric evaluation. He claims to have been the victim of extensive bullying at school.

He has been charged with desecrating a corpse – as the woman was already dead when he interfered with her remains, rape or sexual assault charges do not apply.

"why is there so many people in the world who ACT LIKE THIS?"

I say the same thing when certain people spout WWII terms like Pearl Harbor just to spite and hurt others for winning on a sports event...

That and a certain hypocrite governor who writes rape novels and tries to ban anything 2D...

Of course they dont, because they don't exist.

A better question is to ask if existing animal species rape their dead- I don't know of any that do, but I know of animals attempting interspecies rape and same sex rape for domination, plus normal rape in general...

The concept of rape isn't foreign at all to the animal world. Nor are many human concepts. Evolved and bare-assed though we may be it is important to remember that humans are just animals in the end.

People who get bullied when growing up tend to feel that they don't have control over anything.

Some people live through and laugh it off. Some cope by bullying someone younger or of lesser rank. Some become sick fucks who obsess over control.

What better way to exert control over someone than to toy around with a corpse? You got a lifeless human body who does not talk back to you, or hurt you. This kid was clearly enjoying his time with that corpse, considering he not just raped, but stabbed the corpse. I'm willing to bet that he does more with that corpse than what the media or the police are willing to tell.

So yeah, they're not totally wrong when they say "Bullying builds character". Then again, they put it in a positive light in a desperate attempt to justify their deeds. People have different brains and a bullied nerd may emerge into a serial killer that will haunt you and your family. Especially the ones that don't fight back; just because he takes all of your feces you forced into his mouth now doesn't mean he won't keep the grudge and pays you back in terrifying ways 10 years later...

Often bullying takes place in the presence of a large group of relatively uninvolved bystanders. In many cases, it is the bully's ability to create the illusion that he or she has the support of the majority present, that instills the fear of 'speaking out' in protestation of the bullying activities being observed by the group. Unless the 'bully mentality' is effectively challenged in any given group in its earlier stages, often the 'bully mentality' becomes an accepted norm within the group.[43] [44] In such groups where the 'bully mentality' has been allowed to become a dominant factor in the group environment, a steady stream of injustices and abuses often becomes a regular and predictable group experience. Such a toxic environment often remains as the status-quo of the group for an extended period of time, until somehow the bullying-cycle should eventually come to an end. Bystanders to bullying activities are often unable to recognize the true cost that silence regarding the bullying activities has to both the individual and to the group. A certain inability to fully empathize is also usually present in the typical bystander, but to a lesser degree than in the bully. The reversal of a 'bully mentality' within a group is usually an effort which requires much time, energy, careful planning, coordination with others, and usually the undertaking of a certain 'risk'.

It is the general unwillingness of bystanders to expend these types of energies and to undertake these types of risks that bullies often rely upon in order to maintain their monopolies of power. Until or unless at least one individual who has at least some abilities to work with others, opts to expend whatever energies may be needed to reverse the 'bully mentality' of the group, the 'bully mentality' is often perpetuated within a group for months, years or even decades.[45] [46] Bystanders who have been able to establish their own 'friendship group' or 'support group' have been found to be far more likely to opt to speak out against bullying behavior than those who have not.[47] [48]
    Intervention

Despite the large number of individuals that do not agree with bullying practices, there a very few that will intervene on behalf of the victim. These individuals are labeled bystanders and unfortunately usually tend to lean toward the bully’s side. In 85% of bullying incidents, bystanders are involved in teasing the victim or egging on the bully.[49]

However, in most bullying incidents, bystanders usually do nothing. If the bully faces no obstruction from the people around, it gives permission to continue behaving badly.[50] There are a wide variety of reasons why children choose not to intervene. Typically they worry that they will make the situation worse or risk becoming the next victim, due to the fear that children experience as the bystanders, which is a direct cause of the decline of anti-bullying attitudes. This points to the urgency for a better understanding of children’s attitudes to bullying and the factors that seem to predict these attitudes.[49]

Researchers have been analyzing the just-world belief theory to help understand the decline of anti-bullying attitudes. "This is the idea that people get what they deserve and deserve what they get." The study determined that children do seek to understand, justify, and rectify the different injustices they come across in everyday life. However further research is needed to link the two together.[49]

Characteristics of targets of chronic bullying

While on the surface, chronic bullying may appear to be simply the actions of an 'aggressor' (or aggressors) perpetrated upon an unwilling 'targeted individual' (or individuals), on a certain deeper level, for it to succeed, the bullying-cycle must also be viewed as necessarily including a certain chronic inadequate response on the part of the target (or targets). That is, a response that is seen by both the bully and the target as insufficient to prevent the chronic bullying-cycle from repeating itself between the given individuals. A suitable response to any given attempt at bullying varies with the occasion, and can range from totally avoiding or ignoring a bully to turning a prank around so that it makes a 'pranksteree' out of the would be prankster,[51] to even summoning legal intervention. Those individuals or groups who are capable of reacting to initial bullying attempts in ways that tend to sufficiently discourage potential bullies from repeated attempts, are less likely to be drawn into this destructive cycle. Those individuals or groups who most readily react to stressful situations by perceiving themselves as 'victims' tend to make the most suitable candidates for becoming the 'targets' of chronic bullying.[52]

Under some circumstances targets may be chosen in what may be a completely random or arbitrary process, especially in groups in which the 'bully mentality' may have already succeeded in achieving domination within the group. In such groups the defense mechanisms of the entire group may have already been 'broken down', and therefore the targeting of individuals no longer requires the seeking out of 'certain personality types' to become the 'next target'. The reversal of such chronic and well entrenched bullying behavior in such groups sometimes requires a much more carefully planned, coordinated, determined and multi-individual response from a would-be target than in a group in which either the 'bully mentality' may not (yet) prevail, or ideally in a group that may have already taken a pro-active preventative approach towards bullying.[53] [54]

Typically the bullying-cycle must include both an act of aggression on the part of a potential bully, and a response by a potential target that is perceived by both as a certain sign of submission. The cycle is only set in motion when both of these two essential elements are present. Once both of these two elements manifest themselves, the bullying cycle often proceeds to feed on itself over time, and may last for months, years, or even decades. The cycle is most easily broken at its initial onset, however it can also be broken at any later point in its progression by simply removing either one of its two essential ingredients. While group involvement may seem to complicate bullying activities, the act is most often an implied agreement in principle between a chief bully or instigator and the target that the one has 'submitted' to the other. In the act of bullying the bully attempts to make a public statement to the effect of: 'See me and fear me, I am so powerful that I have the ability to inflict pain upon the intended target at the time and manner of my choice without having to pay any consequences.' Should an intended target exhibit a 'defeated attitude' in response to chronic bullying, then the bullying is likely to continue. In circumstances where a 'bullying pattern' has not yet fully established itself, should the intended target respond with a clear attitude of self-confidence that somehow demonstrates that the bully's attempt to dominate is futile, then the bullying attempt will often quickly diminish or end all-together. Established patterns of bullying may require greater and more persistent effort to reverse. Institutions may reinforce bullying; for example, by telling targets of bullies they're responsible for defending themselves, but then forcing them to go to school unarmed.

No punishment doesn't mean nothing would happen. What's wrong with psychological help for him? If you assert the right to not be disgusted then so do I, and you're "disgusting me" right now. In that case I guess you "need" or "deserve" to be punished in response. Enjoy the arbitrariness you approve of being used *against* you instead of only in the way you prefer or accept that just being disgusted by something isn't a good reason to harm someone for "revenge". The dead feel nothing. Maybe helping the living is more useful than increasing the already extreme amount of suffering in the world. If this person is truly a danger to others then he should be kept away from general society, of course, but the fact remains that he did not hurt the deceased woman. If he had say kidnapped other family members and did it in front of them to intentionally screw with them then he would be hurting the living (although kidnapping already counts anyway), but I didn't read that he did such a thing.

He REPEATEDLY stabbed a person (dead or not, there has to be a certain line that you do not cross as a sane person) for no other reason than he wanted to, and chose to defile it to satisfy his perversion. How is that "not dangerous"?

Who's to say that the next target won't be an actual living being?

Who's to say that if he stumbles into control of a vulnerable person, he won't do the same to them? (It doesn't need to be a far-fetched scenario, he could just walk by a passed out drunk, and his perverse nature takes over, bam.)

Even if violence was his way to vent, why did he not choose to, say, beat up a pillow? Smash a few plates? Why did he have to go to the extent that he had to channel his rage against a human corpse?

The only conceivable answer is : Because he loved that sense of power over a human, dead or not.

He's shown that he is incapable of being trusted in a situation where he is free to take out his... his issues? on the nearest hapless being. How can you say that he is not dangerous?

He clearly poses a menace to others, especially people helpless to defend themselves, and while I'm all for him receiving psychological help, I'm also very very relieved he was arrested before he could go on another power trip against someone else, someone who might not necessarily be dead.

A corpse is not a person. Your random opinion on his dangerousness is worth nothing. Psychological help would be used to determine how dangerous he is to things that can be hurt (i.e. living beings), including himself. Being perverted doesn't mean much either. Lots of people here are lolicons but wouldn't hurt a living child. Guro fans enjoy much more extreme acts than what he did (whether to a character or a corpse, no one was hurt), too. Similarly, there's no *proof* he would stab or rape anyone living.

Who's to say his next target will be a living being?

You don't know the limitations of his circumstances. It's quite possible he had no safe outlet at home, school, or wherever he tended to be. If he get psychological help (which of course includes evaluation) what's best to do with him can be determined. Revenge being an absolute doesn't help society overall (and yes, he counts as a person just as much as you or I do). Besides harming him punishment also costs society time and money, so unless it serves a non-revenge purpose (and face it, crimes based on emotional rather than economic factors are quite hard to deter) it's just a net harmful act. Revenge would at best only makes the relatives of the dead woman feel better momentarily, too, so it doesn't really help there either.

What you can conceive of is not proof of anything (whereas psychological help again covers this). You're just being a reactionary here. It's obvious you don't care about him at all, but instead consider a non-living being and others reacting to the event to matter just because they default to being "normal people" to you. Who's to say that with help he can't become a "normal person", too? Regardless, dehumanization of criminals or the mentally ill doesn't help society...

The corpse wasn't a being that could feel or think anything about what was happening to it, just like a pillow or some plates aren't, so give me a break. It's not the same as a violent crime against a living human, just like fucking dutch wives doesn't count as rape. Even if he would escalate to that point eventually he may be helpable now! If he can be helped then the costs of punishment and the harm punishment would do to him can all be avoided. Just classifying him as trash and enjoying the idea that he should be harmed is not helpful to society. As for him being "dangerous" or not, it hasn't been revealed that he harmed anything that could feel anything yet. AGAIN, psychological help could determine how dangerous he is...

He doesn't clearly anything. You just imagine him as a monster that 100% must be "evil". Catching someone before they possibly "cross the line" and hurt living humans and then helping them could be a very good thing, but you have to accept that he's also a human to see much of the value in that.

Regardless, the aggressive revenge-based American-style (although Japan's 99% conviction rate and confession "pressure tactics" indicate a probably even greater level of injustice, at least in terms of the relative number of bullshit convictions) system of punishment is hardly a model to strive towards. In Japan just being arrested (much less imprisoned) can make meaningful employment impossible, which means it's a lifelong economic and social punishment (something America enjoys imposing on people in various ways, commonly for bullshit reasons, too). I disagree that "harming" inanimate matter should result in this. Of course it would make more sense if arrests didn't cause this, but Japan is a bad place like anywhere else, so calling it something else and instead providing (yes, non-optional) psychological help (which of course includes evaluation) could avoid the pure loss scenarios that people who cheer for prison rape so love (although they don't love it when injustice comes to them and they receive the prison rape themselves).
