China Pirates Train “Down to the Mascot”

China is being accused of pirating Japan’s Shinkansen down to the children’s cartoon based on its locomotives.
The expansion of China’s Shinkansen-esque high-speed rail system recently saw the opening of the Bejing-Shanghai line – and the airing of a cartoon based on the new trains, which Chinese Internet denizens have identified as a flagrant copy of a 1997 Japanese anime based on the antics of anthropomorphised Shinkansen:
The case is particularly notable as China has already been accused of essentially pirating its entire high-speed rail network.
China initially developed its high-speed rail system by buying in locomotives and technologies from various overseas partners, but soon after dumped most of its foreign partners and began making “indigenously developed” enhanced versions of their trains.
A production partnership with Kawasaki, which ended up with Kawasaki kicked out of the country in 2004 and China producing hundreds of trains suspiciously similar to the ones Kawasaki sold it, is a case in point.
China’s CRH2:
Kawasaki’s E2:
The Chinese company now building these insists it a “completely different” train on the inside.
Whether China simply pirated the trains or the overseas partners merely idiotically trained and equipped a major new competitor is a matter of ongoing debate.
That China’s previous minister for railways, a key proponent of the high speed rail system, was recently arrested for taking what is estimated to be over a hundred million dollars in bribes has also raised suspicions even in China itself as to just what level of China quality is involved in the system.
China for its part has also been further antagonising Kawasaki and its other discarded partners by attempting to peddle its trains the world over, and even cheekily suggesting Japan should buy its superior new trains.
However, Japan seems to have had the last laugh – its press have been gleefully reporting the fact that trains running on the recently opened Bejing-Shanghai line had as many as six major incidents in their first five days of operation. Critics contend it is only a matter of time before one explodes.

Truly the Mos Eisley of the world.
As Obi-wan said "A wretched hive of scum and villainy"
I've read novels of Star Wars, I remember one phrase about Mos Eisley: "... Mos Eisley is like the armpit of the galaxy, you don't want to know about the other parts of the anatomy.... "
I don't remember which novel but it's the first thing I remember.
Completely different inside for sure. Filled with litter.
And now splattered pigeon
More than likely to have one and only ONE first class segement, while the others are just empty of seats to pack in as many as they can shove into it!
Chinucks to the fucha!!!
+
Slimy little maggots all~ including that cock sucking jacki can
What makes China original is that they imitate, mimic or replicate EVERYTHING. And if they don't imitate nor replicate something, that would be a complete, serious, shame to the glory of China to bare... so ethically unoriginal it degrades their morality and pride.
So here's to the glory of China! The Pride Of Copycats!
Japan doesn't need to worry about this pirated Shinkansen for long. If it's true China quality, it'll probably explode soon....
lol i just read the triology again
and my god the book had bad and confusing writing, nothing like space odyssey 2001, but hell, yes, china's a mos eisley, and the premier is jabba the hutt
Undeniable, if not the ultimate hive of scum and villainy
would love some exploding trains
"The Chinese company now building these insists it a “completely different” train on the inside."
Of course it's different. The one in Japan don't explode xP.
They obviously mean there are no chairs to sit on.
Or maybe the chair will explode and shove things up the passengers rear-end.
No, it's just that those trains made mostly of garbage and sewage, as everything else in china these days.
also the inside in the chinese one has no complimentary snacks,,,
,,, as well as no seatbealts, you have to bring your own seat, and of course
no bathroom, unless you count the emrgency bucket they have in the corner. 1 for every 50 people.
Actually not too long ago that's where the waste went on on train bathrooms giving rise to the term wrong side of the tracks.
They have complimetary bunnies to squash and the bathroom is a hole in floor no flushing!
heheheh, I got the "Das Boot" reference you made there....
no no they still have the bathrooms. they just dont have the complimentary snacks TT^TT
If you've ever actually ridden on a Shinkansen, you would know that they don't have complimentary snacks either.
Weeaboo.
China being the world's Michael Bay
I'd see that movie.
Me too.
If we had the usual explosive items and the transformer mascot, it could be possible to see these trains in Mickael Bay's Transformer 4.
Luckily there's always the Decepticon Astrotrain, if they want a train transformer who is more generally known, rather than the Autobot Bullet Train Team or the Trainbots.
While I would be amused, I would only want the trains to explode if it took out people in China who deserved to be exploded and not who will far more likely be in the train, regular citizens.
I think you've been misinformed. It doesn't explode because it's working, it explodes because it isn't working.
Unless China pirates explosives of course. In that case they end up being used for breaking bus windows in an emergency.
I wonder if it's made of balsa wood? It seems to be a common building ingredient.
they rather use waste. cheaper and may contain free human waste and bodyparts
LOL... China quality!!
ya dont want gundams in chana quality(i meant the models)
it was simply logical to asume they will start exploding any time. i suggest to
companies making business with china to include a self destruction mechanism in case of treason that way if they betrayed by chinesee they should activate the mechanism.
Train developers and graft! I *knew* I recognized this plot! I saw a cartoon covering this back in the 1960s (okay, it was a monorail, not a train, but it was a scam in which the perps skimped on safety in favor of profits...)
http://www.fanderson.org.uk/epguides/tbirdseg2.html#Episode%20Eleven [http://www.fanderson.org.uk/epguides/tbirdseg2.html#Episode Eleven]
and once again china proves they can not be trusted.
The way I see it, it's just another instance of China pirating shit and the rest of the world not being able to do a fucking thing about it.
You expect them not to do that, when most of the world's materials are now being produced at China?
what ever happened with china wanting everyone's source code?
They just hacked it all. See their new Stealth plane? That's a F22 rip off. Their main aircraft is also an F16 rip off.
Bad example, when it come to military, everyone in the world is copying each other.Yes, even usa military do that.
Both of which barely match old 4th generation fighters.
Thomas the locomotive is pissed.
and once again.... china fails. why cant they make their own shit?, they got 1.3 billion people but 0 cant invent/make their own shit.
Unfortunatly most of the people in china are poor, so instead of inventing, they are wasting there lives working their asses (plural for ass?) off so they can live in a house.China's GDP is 4.99 trillion and if u divide that by its pop then each person would have about $3,839 bucks.Hate this if ya want, but i only want ya to know the truth, Ya know! Remember kids, believes facts not opinion (then again its pretty obvious). So if ya realized it by now, congrats , if ya dont go work yur asses(i swear, is this the right spelling?) off like the chinese and ya might be able to afford some education.
Cheers,

Some are doing slightly better than others
$3,839 per person is still not accurate though. It's maybe 1/100 of that value in the rural areas of Japan. Wherein the top shmucks at Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and other urban areas have 10x the amount(the upperclass) than their rural counterparts.
wrong. Its an atom deep.
China , not Japan. I was looking at the word on an ad besides the message box that i typed it by accident lol.
china is the only untrue communist out of them all.Look at old russia, north korea,Cuba and of course Britannania(heh heh) ya know! it could be another lelouch from code geauss or the celestial beings from gundam 00.Saving the world with hatred and debt
Which is very amusing, considering how much China crows about being the "one true Communist nation." Guess Communism's only skin deep.
The parents over there harass their children into 'hard working maniacs', only interested in competitiveness and their own benefit.
Ever heard from that one woman who published a controversial book this year ?
She said her mother would burn her teddy bears and toys if she can't play Beethoven on the piano.
And some say, this kills any creativity from Chinese children.
Oh god yes...I remember that book. Battle Cry of the Tiger Mother by Amy Chua. I believe that is the book you are referring to.
Please answer the following questions first.
1 r u azn
2 r yur parents strict
3 do u want yur childto succeed in the future
4 please dont tell me this is the only country u know that is cruel to chilldren?
once u have answered them u should realize the faults in yur beliefs and the veiwpoints of others.
think about it.china has 1.7billion peeps in the country so finding a job is very hard. of course the parents have to get the kids to study( not in that cruel way though) and even if they get a job, the paycheck can be very low.so its basically a survival game( yes life is a $h!tty game). If you wanna learn more about a country dont f around and look at the wounded animals, instead look at the joyous pets that are loved by its family(the majority is the wounded pet though(^^) Jk)
Hopes this helps
Cheers.

@anon 01:33
a chinese company could use their developer teams to develope something of their own but instead, they used them to reverse engineer anything and everything then claim it of their own. how's that for facts, and just cause someone is poor doesn't mean they cant get an idea and invent it. happens all the time.
umm what companies!-_- if u hav ever been to china u should realize our imagination suks and we barely thought up of anything useful. Besides, companys are basically falling Gintoki's motto of making money the easy way and start copycatting(is this the right spelling?) some thing that looks useful and make a quick buck out of it.For example- i went to fuzhou the other day to buy an infinite justice mg gundam model(^^ it was a 30th anniversery one +clear armor parts) and it freakin costed me about $900 ($150) when i could've gotten a pg at that price (FYI i saw a big-ass box that has the meteor+freedom model-didnt have enough money), so basically what i am trying to say is that companies are evil greedy bastards that force the workers against their will to make crap nobody is gonna appreciate.Ahh yes the evil of capitalism
Cheers,

why the fuk would you go to china to by a gundam model in the first place
im in china for summer vacation and since it was made by bandai i thought i would have bought it(no clue on why its in china since china is a closed market. If ya havent noticed it by now i am chinese and is visiting my grandparents.
Cheers,

You are aware that this is the exact same thing Japan was doing in the back in the 60s and 70s right?
There is a difference between outright copying every damn shait and making improvements to it.
Japan improved the stuff and sold it, but didn't claim it was entirely their own. China is copying stuff and claiming it's their own.
Yeah...keep telling yourself that. Japan did do the exact same things in the 60's. They did claim it was entirely their own. You're just kidding yourself if you believe they never did.
The only thing I agree on is that they did improve upon the original only AFTER some time have passed. They didn't just look at the originals then say "OK let's upgrade it and make it our own!". They plagerized first then after much researching did they think to improve it.
that reminds me- they should really improve on the aegis gundam cuz im a huge fan of it. I would say making a pg 1/60 version of it with all FOUR beams on its arms and legs and is able to transform without any removal of parts.sigh but that will never happen.... WTH am i talking about right now...
Cheers
sent from a guy call taka-chin, but u can call me taka-chinpo
Japan did not steal any technologies like china scum did. China did not even put any money on any studies in developing those trains, they just stole it. Monkeys like always amaze me lol.
please try to use the word, companies instead of china, cuz im kinda offended by that.I dont plagirise(this is the correct spelling right?) except when i quoted a line from TWGOK to sound bad-ass
More like vermin. Take and run, shit everywhere.
monkey like always amaze me lol ?... ill just assume that its monkey like idiots will always amaze me with the crap they do lmao
heh heh made it better
cheers,
Fromt the department of redundancy department
@Pyrolight
like what. bridges made out of garbage, food out of sewage, counterfit everything, exploding stools, exploding toilets, blind lines leading to cliffs, cars that split in half in a 30mph crash, veggies dip with sewage water for weight...
Whats with the sewage and explosives?... exploding panstu, exploding ona holes exploding condo....*cough**cough* i am totally against that last post.
@anon 01:04 you knew that saying anything negative towards japan compared to china would get you thumbs down
hey shut the fuck up scum
Well this is sankaku after all ya know (^^)
Really? Oh yea, I remembered Mazinger was a direct rip-off of Felix the Cat, Gegege no Kitaro is copied from Donald Duck, Doraemon was originally Mickey Mouse, DIACLONE copied Hasbro's Transformers cartoon to make their own transformable toyline, and Jungle Emperor Leo traced Disney's Lion King. WTF Japan!!? You guys have no originality and creativity at all!!
..oh crap, I just noticed I poured whiskey instead of coffee into my mug.. and I accidentally set my Sarcasm meter to MAX.
dunno the others, but Jungle Emperor Leo aka Kimba the white lion (1960) created by Osamu Tezuka. Yes, Lion King traced Kimba.
Well, look at Japan now
at least they don't explode things
plz note that the cheese stick yur eating right now is actually a dynamite stick.
We go light this up like its dynamite
