Are IdolMaster fans really so pathetic that the mere presence of male characters makes them furious?
I really don’t see what the fuss is about. It’s still a cute series even if they’re there.
Its not so much the presence of Male Characters its the Way Namco’s introduced them that’s really got the fans riled up. When iDOLM@STER 2 was first announced the fans were all hyped up about the return of all their favorite ladies. However soon after Namco announced that they would be taking out 4 of the idols from the game-play (you couldn’t produce them and they were now rivals) while this alone would have made iM@S fans mad Namco made it worse by suddenly announcing that Jupiter was going to be in the game. Though they only played as rivals fans anger in the fact that five idols with many fans were taken out just you could have 3 dudes as rivals. If the 4 idols hadn’t been taken out of the game not as much hate would exist against Jupiter. If anything people would be just Meh.
If the game had been made where everyone was produce-able (including Jupiter) Namco would’ve gotten even more female fans and much less hate than over the game and this topic might not even be here. Basically fan’s saw Jupiter as a cheap bid to get more female fans that took away 4 idols from the original cast that was dearly loved by them for 3 games.
So is the show bad or is it bad because there are male idols?
Producer-san gonna get NTR’d by Jupiter.
Ambitions as a ridah….. that’s what Producer is jammin to.
What’s with this “Idolm@ster is largely for boys and shouldn’t have any boy characters AT ALL OR ELSE IT’S RUINED FOREVER” bullshit I keep seeing in the comments? It’s a game about idols. It would make sense that there would be boy idols too, and makes even more sense that they’re your rivals in the actual game canon. Of course they’re going to show up in the anime.
“It’s just Fujoshi-foddder.”
“It’s just to appeal to the girls.”
Shut up and grow up already.
I’m ashamed of the fact that the vocal majority of the Idolm@ster series just see it as nothing more than a dating sim with cute girls in it and the way of romancing them is to make them popular as idols and “the songs are a bonus!” way of thinking.
Poorly received in the fanbase? Of course you see it that way; you say “everyone” hates them, and you in turn hate them too because, according to “everyone”, they just completely ruin the game for you because, apparently, idols are strictly female only. “Boy idols should never be in Idolm@ster EVER.
Except Ryou. He’s an exception because he looks like a cute girl which makes him one and technically not a boy.”
Incredibly and disgustingly pathetic.
Double posting is as irritating as Jupiter.
Sorry. It ended up like that due to a lag and since I didn’t log in at the time, I couldn’t delete it. T_T
