For weird Spanish grammar, look no further than Bleach.

Also, "Mariposa Luz de la Luna" doesn't sound that awkward. I'm a native Spanish speaker, so I know. "Moonlight Butterfly" literally translates to "Mariposa de la Luz de la Luna", and removing the first "de la" for the sake of repetitiveness doesn't sound to unreasonable. It actually gives the phrase a better flow.
