One of Lady Gaga’s recent outings on Japanese TV has been the cause of a minor Internet sensation on 2ch and elsewhere – as ever, thanks largely to her astonishing fashion sense.
The video, showing her appearance on “Tetsuko’s Room,” a talk show hosted by 77-year-old actress Tetsuko Kuroyanagi:

God, I don't know how much more of Lady Gaga I can take. She is seriously the biggest attention whore to come out of the entertainment industry in like ten or twenty years. She used to not be that bad and some of her clothes were genuinely cool looking. But she has just gone off the freaking deep end the past few years.
The sad part of all of it is that people know exactly what she's doing but don't call her out on it. They just continue to give her attention and act like it's totally normal.

Ever heard the expression: "Talk good or talk bad, talk about me"? Probably not >_> It sounds weird in english.... My point is, being ridiculous is profitable, so who cares? Among compliments and complains (or complains and complains) she is still making a lot of money out of her image.
Considering 'being a media whore' has been Gaga's mission statement when she started out (there's many interviews), that's kind of her 'message' in itself.
It would be crazy if she decides to move onto another phase and do something else at this point though. She's way too into it.

TNinja...I think i see your point there, but i, and many others, have a completely different point-of-view, with i'll try to explain...
Lady gaga was "outside the norm" before, yes. Nowadays tough, shes not "outside the norm", shes "the reverse of the norm".
She no longer wears cool-looking "different" clothes because she wants to, instead, she wears "clothes that attract attention" because "that's what attracts attention to her".
Its a hard concept, with depends a lot on perception, how much you are willing to accept, and how much you are willing change your point-of-view in order to "see" and understand a different one.
Basically, my point of view is that lady gaga, contrary to the genuine "strange but cool" style/feeling from old times, now just simply is using the "strange" part she acquired, in order to attract attention.
She no longer aims at her own satisfaction, but in that feeling of "I want to see what the next ridiculous clothe will be" from her "fans". ("watchers" not-equals an actual "fan")
Its hard to express in words, and i could literally write a bible's worth of how today's Lady Gaga is different from before, but to try and short-it-up, "She no longer gives a natural feeling with the strange clothes. Its now a forceful aura."
