The new and true iM@S anime by A-1 Pictures has broadcast its first episode, featuring the entire cast of idols (including the ill-fated ones dumped from the latest game), though stopping short of full Ryochin inclusion and also leaving out the controversial male idols.
More interestingly, the obscure and generally ignored protagonist and idol exploiter “P-san,” or Producer, finally comes out of the shadows and reveals his identity…

Well, Idolmaster fans have always thought of the producer as themselves and this guy looks, well... Japanese enough I think.
One of the biggest issue in the manga/anime industry atm is that everybody loves to draw girls, but there's not many people that are actually capable of drawing a good looking male character because... well... they're too busy working on girls..

btw, the entire episode turned good one when I knew the producer is a original character, like the Ash of Pokémon.

the guy behind character designs at tbs must be a beast and making hella money to he seem to be pumping out anime like it's as n natural as breathing to him although I do have to say it also seem most of the shows are becoming single shot seasons only

Mr. P-San makes me think of Aoki-sensei from Kodomo No Jikan as far as his appearance goes from the screenshot here. I may have a different impression after I get around to seeing an episode of Idolm@ster.

Also I nearly jumped out of my screen when nearly nineteen minutes into it when the screen went black and the question arose. I could have sworn it was addressing the viewers, but that would have been wishful thinking.

So many people already facepalming about this anime when it just started and some are saying it's a K-On clone when Idolm@ster garnered more rage and fanbase then K-On did since ITS A GAME. K-ON IS A MANGA. AND IDOLMASTER IS MADE BY NAMCO BANDAI: THE THIRD LARGEST TOY AND GAME MAKER IN THE WORLD. Unless your a shallow anime fan, I should have heard of this game two years ago.
