Nanpa Master Busted: “I Did 100 of the 1000 I Asked”

Police have arrested a nanpa master who reports hitting on 1000 girls, of which 100 agreed to have sex with him.
Fukuoka police arrested the 34-year-old man on suspicion of committing indecent acts with minors (highschool girls he had hit on), and for manufacturing child pornography (likely for making a private record of his conquests).
He admits the charges, explaining “Of over 1000 people I approached, I had indecent relations with about 100.”
Police are obligingly looking for more charges to pin on him.

Not true. It's that most of us are conditioned to believe rejection is some intense failure. This is not the truth. Think carefully for a second what a rejection means to you. You take it personally, however there's nothing that says you were the reason directly.
Think of it in less direct terms with applying for a job. The worst they can do is say no, no matter what. That was a mantra my brother taught me which saved me after college. I was terrified to apply for my dream jobs because I thought I would be blacklisted somehow just for applying because it was me. Complete nonsense, but that doesn't change that that's how I felt.
The same reasons that exist in our minds as our reasons for believing we'd get rejected are the exact reasons that we also have an equal chance of getting a yes. He had 900 rejections, but after a single yes, he was vindicated and knew he could do it. It was all he needed. Just because he got rejected doesn't necessarily mean it was him being rejected. A girl could have been waiting for friends and not been available, she could have been conditioned to believe being hit on was a bad thing, she could have had any number of reasons that had nothing to do with him.

True enough. However I wasn't talking about the interview, I was talking about even applying. I was actually that nervous, because I wanted to be in the industry so badly. Granted since I'm an animator it's different, because I was sending in the essence of my artistic abilities to be judged. It's much more stressful compared to just applying with a degree I believe. When your abilities are laid bare for all to see, and it's only those that are a yes or a not, not perceptions on which school name has the most clout, it's ten times more nerve-wracking.
But even then, should you make a mistake at a company, as long as you're aware of your mistake, you simply lost out with that company. If it was your dream company, then like me, you'll eventually just realize there are many dream companies for various reasons. Unfortunately that requires perspective... something that's very difficult to maintain after a rejection without a lot of experience ^^ Ironically it requires perspective to maintain perspective, so strangeness abounds...

The prefecture's law might be different and overrule the japan's age of consent. I know Tokyo is 13yrs old. It's sounds better because 100 to 1000 simplifies to a 1 in 10 ratio (1:10), whereas a 1 to 100 is 1:100.
