tera's been out for months...
It has been out in Korea for months yes, but it is set to be released in Europe and the US in the second half of the year (don't think there has been given an exact release date yet).
There's supposed to be a some changes to the EU and US version making the "loli-looking" Elin, a bit more clothed, than the Korean version.
The proposed loli changes are so far, from what information has been released, simply stockings. It's a shame because bare legs are quite sexy, but I guess stockings can be just as powerful.

I've heard that the game lacked end-game. But they're fixing it at the moment, so I hope we're good to go at the American release.
My thoughts exactly. After playing the KTERA for a month and hitting 44 (cap is 50) it's pretty hard to find things to do besides running dungeons over and over. The journey is really quite something though. I can honesty say the fights are entertaining and the BAM's (Big Ass Monsters) and group environments are full of epic win.
It would be a shame for it to be forgotten due to lack of end game content, hopefully the planned updates can beef the game up.

I played it, and it's okay I guess. There isn't really anything that amazes me about the game. Also it isn't a grindfest, surprisingly, so don't worry about that. I probably won't get it when En Masse finally releases it. These days I'm mainly keeping an eye out for Guild Wars 2, ArcheAge, and the Secret World.
*insert upcoming MMO title* looks alright, but Guild Wars 2 is going to be the best.

I honestly enjoy my Korean grindfests and my WoW clones equally.
I'll just stick with RuneScape until GW2 comes out, although I haven't played with the first game.

MMORPG has always been synonymous with grinding.

Guild wars 2 seems to think differently about that. The world will end before that will get a release though.
I would normally agree Yoshii-kun, but Tera and Vindicutus and a few other MMOs recently are aiming for less grind, more action.
In Tera, you're going to worry about fighting more than grinding since it won't be an actual grind like it always were.
Action MMO is a gimmick. It might be a welcome change of pace and more engaging than the standard auto attack-AFK or 1-2-3 skill spam. But in most cases, it will degenerate into something formulaic. Standard MMOs already have mechanisms that force your positioning while fighting some enemies or take advantage of line of sight, this is just the next level of it.

Using this line of reasoning, every single game ever made is just a gimmick built upon a gimmick from the last generation's game with no real, actual substance.
You have to look at the total package, not pick at a single feature and degenerate it into its component parts.
thats basically it...it's tropes the little devices and patterns used to build media. you only call them cliche or gimmicks when you, as an individual, notice them and complain. There's no such thing as original. All we ever do is find new ways to put together the building blocks that came before.
But He's right Most mmo's are Shinier versions of older mmos. they only change graphics around, add an extra class, new weapons mounts etc and so on. nothing REALLY changes. a good game would be Dragon Nest while a bad one would be Atlantica online which has more strategy to it but it is still one long, very large and quite boring grind. Almost all of AeraGames' releases are the same thing. last chaos is simply a darker version of shaiya. so quit trolling a troll for trolling what needs to be trolled.
