That guy is like Warlord Okeer from Mass Effect 2. The biggest insult that can be inflicted on Ishihara is to be ignored.
He most likely will make a killing out of this, while the other authors are cowering in fear he'll be ignoring Ishihara's existence outright.

if that happens then I wouldn't mind seeing other manga go the same route. that could potentially make full blown hentai develop better art quality and storylines. as it stands the talent seems pretty watered down.
To Love Ru in terms of storyline is already all over the place. The smallscale teases we saw in early volumes were the only thing I can remember, while I can't recall a single important plot line.
I say let him draw porn if it means he'll make good quality porn, instead of a manga with neither decent plot or hardcore smut to wank to. Too many mangas these days like to dabble on the fence with the authors being jack of all trades, but master of none.
Historically though, I never saw anyone put a lot of effort and budget into porn. Otherwise, we would be seeing porn directed by Michael Bay.
