Victorica fans witnessing the conclusion of top moeic lolita anime Gosick have been delighted by what has been described as one of the most heartwarming endings ever, and a major departure from some of the more bloodsoaked endings of recent titles.
Boo, I wanted him to show up as a cripple. They troll you then go for the happy ending. The way the twins die was pathetic, but I guess Yoda Cordelia made up for that.
I don't see why so many are surprised that these two never expressed their feelings. As far as I've seen, the Japanese like to avoid doing that in all their entertainment. I've watched a ton of Japanese dramas and anime over the years and about 80% of them keep the romantic aspect either very vague or completely open ended. An anime where the romance is acknowledged between two characters is actually pretty rare.
I will bet you anything that by the time Naruto ends, he still won't be with anyone. Same for Ichigo on Bleach. Writers like to tease it like crazy, but they rarely follow through.
It's still missing something..... I was expecting a kiss between Kujo and Victorique.... and like a time skip where you see someone telling the story of The Reaper and the Golden Fairy who became Monstre Charmant or something...
I actually like this ending quite alot, but it was just a bit anti-climatic, like they could have spent more time / episodes showing them being apart and solving aome sort of case together (while being apart) or somehow "work" their way back to each other, and not just "oh hey I wait for you and you has arrived, excellent ~ " ah well ~ its definately waaaaaaaaaaay better than some of the other titles that came out recently though ~ WAY better ~
It was a good series, I enjoyed it very much. Only one thing pissed me off and that is how that queen Coco Rose got off free and lived a peaceful life. An NTR where the wife gets what she deserves, but we find out that she had a double and instead of getting klled, lived a peaceful life.
Yep, cheat on husband, have kid of lover, get friend killed, hide, let innocent girl get killed, have husband and rest of country put on a pedestal for everlasting glory and praise, and live in peace raising her son.
I would say she bleach her hair white to evade capture on the boat, but since it's still white at the end it was probably shock of brian and her mom death probably made her hair change colors. She also says at the end "I been through a lot" at the end when kujo remarks about her new hair color, which further lead me to believe this.
"since it's still white at the end it was probably shock"
... Or maybe it's because bleach is PERMANENT.
She's probably been bleaching it since as she doesn't have visible roots, but you can't just bleach your hair for a couple weeks to avoid capture then let it fade away.
The Japanese would see it as "Gothic" too, "Gosick" just delivers the Engrish powah. It's like it was done intentionally to hide how simple the title is.
Even as young adults (Kujo and Victoria are 18 years old in the end), Victorica will be always short. :D
That was indeed a "good" ending but I am missing that they never admitted their feelings officially in the series. Victoria wears a wedding dress in the end...
That's Easy! when she hears they are looking for a golden fairy, she colours her hair, don't know if it is the wellspring or herself that does that, but it fits her :3
Actually Victoria is now 20 and Kujo is 21...since the war lasted 5 long years, (1924 to 1925) and they were apart, promising that they would meet again someday.
No sword will cut armor. Blunt damage with a sword isn't enough to damage someone in plate.

Its official, he is now a lolicon.
Is there a wedding night episode?
Well, duh! He's Japanese.
It's legal, though. She was 19 in the final scene. Flat-chested, short height? Who cares? She was in Japan, she blends right in.
lol @ the japanese thing
Boo, I wanted him to show up as a cripple. They troll you then go for the happy ending. The way the twins die was pathetic, but I guess Yoda Cordelia made up for that.
No bro a Pedophile.
actually, she was 15 in 1924, at the end is 1929, making her 20 years old.
That means that you dear man fail at life
And hence, the first recorded lolicon in Japan.
Btw, isn't he supposed to have died in the war? :/
Oh noes,, I will miss you Victorique
I don't have to worry about those bloody endings. I have a Contract for a happy ending.
great end, but last scene of episode 23 makes my eye open wide
nice ending
btw, kujo is officially a lolicon
that ending brought a tear to my eye
A great, great series. And if you did not at least tear up at the end, you ain't human.
One of my all-time favs for 2010~2011

There is a whole thhread on ANN about Gosic. A lot of people there believe that Kujo and Victorica are actually dead at the end.
Can anyone read the badge that the girls are wearing on their coats at the end?
From one sub, the badges had the names of the soldier they're looking for. Victorique's had Kujo's name on in.
no more Loli action :(
gosick = normal anime. A normal romance with tsundere-loli girl XD
It's still missing something..... I was expecting a kiss between Kujo and Victorique.... and like a time skip where you see someone telling the story of The Reaper and the Golden Fairy who became Monstre Charmant or something...
no kiss?

Victorica? VICTORICA! VICTORICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
It was a good series, I enjoyed it very much. Only one thing pissed me off and that is how that queen Coco Rose got off free and lived a peaceful life. An NTR where the wife gets what she deserves, but we find out that she had a double and instead of getting klled, lived a peaceful life.

Did they have the change her hair color?
If there is a second season I hope they change it back.
I also kinda hoped they have her grow a little.
Well her mom didn't really grow, so...
Her white hair is really suits to her, and she become more beautiful than before.
damn, i will miss this
also i would have liked explanations
what sides were there and who won the war?
what happened to her hair anyway?
ministry of science side won.. i dont know why her hair turned white probably something symbolic that i missed

touching... that's all i can say
with anohana, another epic ending gosick.
I am going to miss this anime. Hopefully, this is not the end.
I wonder how many realize what the title means if all they look at is "Gosick".
So what does the title mean?
I thought it meant Gothic. "Gosick" being how it was read by the Japanese. Am I right or wrong?
The Japanese would see it as "Gothic" too, "Gosick" just delivers the Engrish powah. It's like it was done intentionally to hide how simple the title is.

Still don't know why Victorica's hair turn from golden to silver, maybe from the shock of Brian's death.
But anyway, WHERE IS THE KISS? THEY CAN'T END A ROMANTIC STORY WITHOUT A KISS!!!!
The stress of everything finally took it's toll and turned her hair silver.
That's Easy! when she hears they are looking for a golden fairy, she colours her hair, don't know if it is the wellspring or herself that does that, but it fits her :3
There was never a kiss between Nagisa and Tomoya in Clannad Afterstory (even though they had a child!)
You all fail!
Not much was spoiled. Watch it, it goes batshit crazy, so it's not like you know anything important now.
Ah, but they had sex. :P
Sorry mate, happens to me too, I only saw Clannad, but when I was ready for after-story it got spoiled...
Guess you weren't spoiled at all. That Nagisa gets a child from Tomoya is not the point that will make you happy or lets you cry.
... I was planning to watch Clannad soon, but now, not anymore :/
But they didn't need to say it, they understand each other without using words.
Actually Victoria is now 20 and Kujo is 21...since the war lasted 5 long years, (1924 to 1925) and they were apart, promising that they would meet again someday.
