I'd totally love to see it, though. Kanon's confession and the jellyness ensuing out of that should be beyond glorious if animated.

I don't know why they did it. Even the first season's sales were so bad that it's surprising they made a second season. I wouldn't have high hopes for a third season.
Actually, the second season exists because the first season had sold greatly JUST FROM THE TRAILER!, the second season was announced before the first episode even came up :). Also, both in manga and anime, it is one of the best selling series.
Sorry, but that's just simply not true. The volumes of the first season sold about 1,500-2,500 copies, which is bad because the break-even point of a normal TV anime is about 5,000 copies. So it pretty much failed.

It was about one of the best events in recent memory for any young boy- the encounter with his waifu. And it recreated that perfectly- the dilemma, the drama, the love, above all!
This is why we can't have nice things.
They showed the doll girl and the swim team middle schooler, but it's hard to tell with the low sales.
Also since all those reports that they made season 1 and 2 at the same time, which is the real reason why season 2 came out even with the "monetary failure" of the first season.
Hard to tell, it really is..
A third season would be really nice, I'd like to see vintage getting involved in the anime.

considering the cameos at the end, Tenri will most likely be in the third season. And if Tenri's in it, that means the goddess plot will be introduced, and that in turn means learning about the origin of the runaway spirits, which in turn leads to vintage.
In fairness, we probably won't see any vintage members in the third season (assuming it'll be the same length as the first two), but the third season *will* set the stage for vintage to make their appearance.
Are you retarded??? If you readed the manga will know that is impossible to put all the plot of vintage & godesses until season 4, there is too much manga between for the season 3 (don't you saw the girls of the end as a preview of the future season?)

I don't even watch this, I just read the manga, which is parody-filler free btw. They should've waited a few more volumes before making an anime so they could avoid these circumstances.

The manga has quite a number of parodies, Gundam included. Both the anime and manga showed Keima chauffeuring Mio in a Zaku head carriage.
