I believe that Ayanami Strat is an official Fender product. It's the only one I'd have. The other look either tacky or bland.

If a guitar is uncomfortable or not can`t always be seen in it`s looks.
Gibson Explorer look distressing at first, but it is one of most comfortabe of all to hold, both standing and sittin`.

However, the Miku and Mio guitars at the beginning of the article don't look very comfortable to me. Really. While you're standing, it may be okay. But if you needed to sit for some reason, then it must be really unpleasant to hold, in my opinion. I can't imagine putting that on my lap. H-how? But I guess they were meant for show rather than anything else.

I can imagine Explorer being okay because of, as you said, the "curves" on both sides of it.
You are thinking of Flying V. Explorer has waist on both sides of guitar body. One of Mio-shaped basses has very uncomfortable body, but Yui LP`s are no-brainer.
only one that is iffy is the leak one, but other than that, they all look pretty damn good, and comfortable.

The first 3 are pretty impressive, especially the way they make the pickups nearly invisible and the custom inlays in the fingerboard.

I just bought my guitar, now I'm wondering if I should ITA it.
In my highschool there is a shop class where you can make unique things such as guitars and snowskates as long as you've kept a high enough grade in previous shop classes. While I didn't make a guitar shaped like an anime character, I did make Dr.Weird's guitar from ATHF. It looks almost identical except that it's a bass instead of regular guitar.
Where could I get the first 3 guitars?

they really put in their hearts to customizing these... can't afford that kind of customization... XD
