@yuriphoria At least Evangelion fans were annoying since the beginning. Or at least I think so for the nine years I've been watching anime and the Eva fandom doesn't even compare to anything.
Other animes came by, got hyped and the fandom cooled down, but not Eva fans.
Madoka's fandom is the closest to EVA's now.

Naturo and Dragon Ball Z isn't really an otaku anime. It's anime for kids. And it's fans are kids. Kids can't really be as annoying as raging Madoka/Railgun/K-ON fans all over the internet.

What I find the most annoying is that when these fangirls like the character for *random country name* they suddenly feel they know everything about *random country name* and go like:
"I want to live in *random country name*, it must be great!"

Australian anime conventions have some seriously fucked up fan girls, most notably in the Yaoi following. They'd pay in the hundreds just to see two guys kiss, I shit you not.

I don't get why you think hetalia sucks. Just because a fan base is annoying doesn't mean you should hate the franchise. The concept of hetalia is different and the way the countries are portrayed is so true. But I can see where this can get annoying, as in too many fan girls dressing up as men. I've known too many of those all through out high school... Hence why were not friends anymore. There was these two twin sisters that cosplayed as either naruto and sasuke or L and Light. It annoyed the crap out of me because only they were allowed to be those characters and they'd patronize any male members of anime club who would dress up as the same male character.
Hetalia fans have nothing on the fans of Madoka, OreImo, or Eva.

fujoshi are otakus... In my opinion male and female otakus are equally horrible. And yeah its okay to have hobbies and things you obessed over it gives people personality and makes them more interesting, but locking yourself in your room and losing your mind over fictional charecters that will never exsist is pointless in my opinion. Also bashing people for perferences is pointless too. All extreme otakus end up overly obsessing and making a fool of themselves atleast once, not just anime otakus....
on a side note, I think naruto fans are probably more of a cancerous desiese in everywhere else in the world except Japan...Its a good series, streched out, but well written. However it is ruined by the fanbase alone....and bleach is...crashing and burning..once upon a time it had well written parts.. any way don't hate the Anime, or the author(unless they suck), don't hate the otakus either. Hate the stupid joy sucking otakus who make a fool of themselves and give everyone else who like that fandom a bad name.
