"Yandere" means you show your love instead of hiding your love like "Tsundere". You can call it the opposite of Tsundere. However, "Yanderes" are rather violent in a way...
Indeed.. Yandere is like an opposite of Tsundere but still not quite.
One the face side Yanderes usually are kind/loving persons, but they are mostly mentally ill and have a huger than life complex over a certain someone they love and would be ready to do anything for him/her, (usually Yanderes/Tsunderes are pictured as girls only, but they can be guys too), stalk them and if the love target is in crush to other person, they try to make their life as miserable as possible.
Even going as far to rely in violence and possibly kill the "rival" or even kill their love interest (if they can't get him/her) so that no one else wouldn't get him/her either.
Of course there are different type of Yanderes as that is like a generic description of Yandere but I won't start to explain about that here :D
Some note worthy Yanderes are for instance the character in my avatar Yuno from Mirai Nikki manga. (god I loved it and Yuno + Yandere characters in general too<3)

Etc..
Also Yandere name comes from words "Yanderu"(=mental/emotional illness) and "deredere"(=exhausted/lovestruck)

actually hidan noa ria has a plot and a big one just finished volume 6 of the novel and i gotta say one of the best novels 've read so far the anime is ok thou they will reach only the end of volume 3 a pity cuz as i've read in the end of volume 5 of the novel the 5 first volumes were only a prologue...and volume 6 we have a lot of reiki too

To be honest, the anime is horrible, it really isn't trying. It seems to be a horrible copy of everything, just thrown together. Now the light novel sounds interesting, but for the first time, the "slave" method among others seems outdated.

Finally, Hidan no Aria made Sankaku. I was kinda expecting the 5th episode to make one, what with the ridiculous lens flare censoring.
I doubt that Hidan no Aria will offer much in terms of actual plot or anything unique, but I still cannot deny that the idea of a Kugimiya-played loli tsundere dual-wielding guns AND katanas is freaking awesome.
