Angel Beats! - had really good ending, it doesn't really need second season.
Bakemonogatari - well i don't really know what to say, do they want to see recycled season 1 with new girl?, cause ya know first girl is kind of out of the picture ..
Full Metal Panic - i don't think it's necessary, the show was good enough.
Baccano - everyone wants to see more of it :(
Elfen Lied - manga ended, can't make good season 2 without manga, so it's out of the question, unless they scrap current Elfen Lied anime and remake show exactly like in the manga.. (like FMA,Brotherhood)
For Elfen Lied.... they can make a season 2 with all the material they have from the manga. Manga may have ended, but the anime goes up to a certain point of the manga, the manga kept going after the end of the anime.
also the way the anime ended has fuck all to do with the manga; the entire bridge explosion sequence just doesn't happen, iirc.
I really wish to see Elfen Lied, the whole story, animated. it became way too awesome to let it slide; I think making an anime that closed the story in 13 episodes was a waste; they could've made it open to a second season.
Quite honestly, Elfen Lied only got awesome in the manga events that happen AFTER the TV series ended. A second season would be mandatory, if my opinion counted for anything...
No no no no no, they will most probably fail miserably like they did with Gantz.
they will turn it into a PG-13 or something :/
Elfen Lied live action, anyone?
Bakemonogatari has a movie on the way (for Kizumonogatari) and can definitely get at least 5 or 6 more episodes with Karen and Tsukihi's light novels. After that is as you said, recycling old heroines with more powerful monsters.
But the heroines never got any closure.
They just got their problems exposed, but didn't get over them.
For example, Kanabru's resolution in hanamonogatari is actually fitting and conclusice, in bake she's just 'meh, I'm fine for now'
I want to know where the hell Beck and Berserk are in this list for crying out loud...
We know for sure Berserk anime is in development again. =)
@houselife
giving you the thumbs up just wont cut it, those are my top 2

"Full Metal Panic - i don't think it's necessary, the show was good enough."
But the thing was the story didn't get to the end...there's still lots of materials from the light novel which anime haven't even get close to covering all yet. And the novel itself has already ended, so it's only natural that fans would like to see the anime continued.
Sigh...it's been over 5 years since The Second Raid...can't believe it was that long ago already.
i think FMP sigma will answer that.
sigma sucked a lot in comparison to original manga
FMP need more sequels.. T__T it's been too long since the second raid~ I wanna see the new ARX9 no ARX8 Laevatein in action~
Agreed, Awesome's got no idea what he/she is talking about. FMP should be number 1 on that list.
Same with Elfen Lied, there's plenty of content in the manga that they could use.
yeah, the FMP anime ended waaaay before shit really hits the fan in the series. The manga is so awesome.
fullmetal panic sigma continue from the anime,,now only in manga
dont forget that it takes time to buy linces and ligal issuse, aswell half of these anime just finished there first second and second seasons. Frankly Index has alot of story and from where the second season ended it only a matter of time before the get into making season 3, as for Spice and wolf i think there just writing more story.
you do realize that only half of these anime just finished there first or second season right?
ones i would like to have seen are
berserk
claymore
fullmetal alchemist
beck-mongolian chop squad
le chevalier d'eon
code geass
deathnote
highschool of the dead
the last exile
samurai 7
bubblegum crisis 2040
clannad
gantz
kare kano
samurai champloo
Claymore was good at first, then it turned to shit. It's better off dead and forgotten. I'll stick with the manga. I'd say the same for Soul Eater.
No more Claymore anime. Please.
Bakemonogatari has more novels... I mean, for christ sake, we never got the story of the Fire Sisters... That's sad (and that's probably what people only want...)
FMP is on that list since, we have ARX-9 figured, but no one knows the circumstance it came out of, without reading the novel (and the amount of people who died along the way or got seriously injured).
The issue with Angel Beats is that the Ending was pretty conclusive, it would be pretty impossible unless it was a spinoff. It would be like making a sequel of Death Note, FMA, or Code Geass.
Well actually it just asks "second season" so I guess for an anime like Angel Beats do a spin off or do it Haruhi 2nd season style where it wasn't really a sequel but kinda just expanded on the 1st season.
Also Index deserves to be #1 that ending was a damna cliff hanger and I think I ended up having more questions then answers about the plot.
start reading the the light novel of index from volume 14 from that continues where the anime ends.
They way they ended the anime though was really within like the first 50 chapters, there's stil an entire half a manga they could finish
Idiot, the Elfen Lied anime covered less then half of the manga.
Lest see here.. I would indeed want more Madoka, Index, Angel Beats, Elfen Lied, Durarara and Spice&Wolf. But this list is dumb, as they list too many series whose stories are clearly completed, and exclude some tittles such as Zero no Tsukaima. Good thing I don't pay heed to most of these dumb lists anyway.
Actually I don't think Madoka has any chance of a secuel after such a climax. Perhaps it would be nice to have a movie version with new chara desing & animation ñ_ñ
They could do one, but it would feature homura in madoka's new world, fighting demons and looking for a way to meet madoka.
"Top 50 Anime You Can’t Believe Never Got Another Season" Top 50? Are you serious?? How about 90% of all the anime that has been made which were adapted from manga or other pre-anime sources- with how the studios love to change things, add fillers and then create all those crappy dumb-downed endings at somewhere in the middle of the story!?
Pointing this out may have gave myself an answer to my question as to why moe anime has risen like it has. Because anime studios of Japan has nearly adapted everything Shonen with the same 2 seasons and then a fake rushed ending. They soon started to run out of things to adapt!
That plus never animating seinen anime anymore and low innovation from the young Japanese to create new shonen jump style stories. Just look at FMA brotherhood, the genius idea of going back and fixing their mistakes. Going back and re-apadting may be the new big thing for the industry if moe doesn't live up to half the standards the anime industry used to be.
Seriously why can't anime be original by it's own, almost as bad as hollywood.
Uhm. Sometimes it is actually better that the anime cuts off, especially with an original ending. If the manga is long ongoing, it will turn into a shit not worth adapting.
I already pointed out a well thought out story with a fake rushed dumb-downed ending sucks.
When did long = shit? Some series are long for a reason and can still actually be good. With novels it's sequel to sequel to equal but with long story manga the chapters just continue down the number line.
Do you consider FMA the manga long?
I'm more surprised at the lack of Zero no Tsukaima. Pincess of Rondo pretty much ended in a cliffhanger :/
Soooo... Ore no imouto doesn't get another season!?
nooooo ~
You know, Zero no Tsukaima anime sucked, each season more than the previous ones.
If you want, simply read the novels, but don't expect another anime season of this since the third one was crappy enough not to continue the whole thing.
Apparently, you're wrong and an idiot for making assumptions. There are people who loved every season of ZnT. As much as anything else, lack of ability to get the seiyuu back, scheduling difficulties prevent another season.
Zero no Tsukaima doesn't suck. Even if it is, the reason that it will be continued is to regain back what has been lost.
The reason I'm not surprised at the lack of ZnT is because after the first and second seasons being so good, the third one was way more subdued and hardly even had much going for it other than the slow transformation into more of a harem than a fantasy romance show. Then again, I'm taking this as a viewer of the anime and not as a viewer of the source material.
Yes, Zero no Tsukaima was screaming for a fourth season. I am pretty devastated by the lack of one.
bakemonogatari has a season 2 but the story is more like a prequel, its called Kizumonogatari
actually, they're gonna turn it into a movie, not season 2
Why is Hajime no Ippo is not included in the list???
The season 2 Challenger left me wondering will he fight Ichirō Miyata or the world champ Ricardo Martinez next?
It's not out yet is it?
ALso where is claymore ???
Where is Claymore!?!?
Not in anime form, only novel.
yes yes yes.. i am still waiting for the season 4..
though the chance is very slim..
i gave up on season 4 but not on remake after the novel finishes that's what i want now
Yeah, remake that follows the novel a little better would be rad.
