An anonymous Vipper has been fastidiously touring the backalleys of smalltown Japan, and was kind enough to share his superb photography with the denizens of 2ch.
The photographs were taken in a variety of locations in western Japan, encompassing towns in Mie, Wakayama, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Shiga, Gifu, Aichi, Nagano, Fukui prefectures.
A variety of cats also somehow found their way into the shots…

Picture 6 definitely gave me a very strong Shenmue vibe.
I'd even dare say AM2 may have got inspiration for that Yokosuka transition area from that place.
But then again, Yokosuka is a real city in the Kanagawa prefecture in the Kanto region, so the picture may very well be from a location in that area even though the prefecture isn't mentioned in the article.

Ubisoft had lots of demands, asking for Assassin creed in japan background (shinobis and stuff).
Last time, they said to fans that some japanese video game franchise asked them not to, they
want to do this on their own since it's their country. Something like this, i don't quite remember well.
Whilst a fresh AC setting would be nice (it doesn't seem they can go any more modern), I'm not sure another one of their dreadful pseudo-SF stories would do the Japanese setting much justice.

Amen bro. A reason why a lot of foreigners don't drive here. My dad who is always abroad just lets our driver drive the car whenever he's home because he got used to the wide roads in his workplace. Also a german foreigner i knew who abandoned his car and just uses the taxi nowadays.
streets in my country are narrow as not though, but even the main roads aren't so big either
a foreigner was afraid to drive where I live because of this fact
