Anime fans rate the best anime by top studio J.C. Staff, providing a set of results which may be surprising.

The presence of baka anime Milky Holmes at the top is not too great a surprise considering its intense popularity online, but Taisho’s number 2 position is something of a shock.
Other anime of note include R.O.D at 11th, Zero no Tsukaima at 13th, and Hayate no Gotoku at 21st.
The least popular anime to make it into the ranking, at 50th with a pathetic 4 votes, was “Oku-sama wa Mahou Shoujo.”

Read or Die, damn brilliant show and one of my top favorites.
Can't really say I hated Milky Homes, but would have wished the entire series were like the awesome first episode instead of another slap-stick comedy.
Of course, the rest of the Dengeki Bunko adaptations are great as well.
Like most popularity lists it's made of fail because of short term memory or simply young viewers.
R.O.D. is one of the best anime ever, how could it be at 11th? Because it's old.
Oh and Oku-sama wa mahou shoujo is good too. Although short. It's more of an experimental anime tough. It's a great deconstruction of the magical girl genre, not as good as, but on the same line than madoka.

Liked the OVA. Readman is such an awesome heroine. Didn't care for the TV series that much.
The TV series massacred the original OVA characters so much especially on the Office Lady and Miss Deep. I like the King sisters of course, delicious Anita's shiropantsu action~
FYI, Miss Deep died at the end of the OVA. The one in ROD TV was her Twin Sister/2nd Clone of Mata Hari.

It's a shame ROD was just shy of the top 10. I liked both the OVA and series of that.
No Utena, no Excel Saga, no Azumanga, no Melody of Oblivion, no Honey & Clover, no Nodame Cantabile.

Truly a worthless ranking. But it does show how crooked are Japanese Otaku. Its all about fanservice. The more, the better.
Fanservice in Aoi Hana? I don't think so. It's nice to see Aoi Hana on fifth place since it wasn't commercial successful. Definitely my favorite JC Anime with Toradora on second place.

I watched and liked Milky Holmes, but no way it can be number 1. Or ranked higher than Azumanga Daioh.
And how Azumanga Daioh didn't make the top ten is a real mystery. It is not that old, had really memorable characters, and had a decent run of 24 eps.
Index and Railgun are top 5 w/o question.

Where the heck is Revolutionary Girl Utena!?! Azumanga Daioh is surprisingly missing as well. Tantei Opera Milky Holmes is awesome, but not really "#1 J.C. Staff Anime" material. Railgun/Index and Toradora is cool though.
Taisho is shocking though, I guess the bishoujo really helped it rank that high, so this list has at least one pleasant surprise.
Hidan no Aria should not be in the Top 10, let alone top anything. Ookami-san deserves the spot MUCH more.
I sort of understand why Utena is not on the list.
1) It's ancient, by contemporary twittering standards.
2) It's bizarre, incredibly bizarre.
It IS probably one of the best works to be ever animated. But it's not just something for the mases.

Yeah it had a low budget, but the beautiful artwork made up for it.
Discounting the franchise ZnT S1 was very good. S2 and S3 were major fuck ups I don't even want to remember.
R.O.D. should be up there as well. Though it being under Yumekui Merry and other shitty adaptations J.C. Staff have been dishing out is beyond me.
