K-ON! otaku have lately been treated to the wonders of a K-ON! branded camera which can take creepy photos of people with their 2D brides automatically without the tiresome expedient of Photoshop – all thanks to Casio.
One buyer shared the joyous moment of his unboxing with 2ch:
The camera itself is a Casio Exilim EX-S200, with the special edition coming with K-ON! packaging and carry-case, a special fascia and, most interestingly, a dynamic photo feature which allows a photo to be taken with one of 20 K-ON! related images automatically inserted.
It formerly retailed for ¥24,800 on a strictly limited edition basis, with sales having concluded.
Such a camera seems unlikely to find favour amongst K-ON!-loving camera otaku on account of it lacking a gigantic lens and possessing a reasonable price, but for the non-camera obsessed moeblob fan it is surely the ultimate in faintly ridiculous anime tie-ins.

Artefact, im just wondering if you understand what quality means? as there are a few different grades of cameras.
there are the cellphone may as well be web cam cameras
there are the realy thin poses that make you look "cool"
there is the traditional size camera which is where i say a bare minimum is in quality
than there is the low end slr, which are high quality but not HIGH quality
than you get into the consumer grade slr
than professional grade.
the onece you are talking about are consumer and pro grade slr cameras, among the highest quality. anyone who has a slr wont go back to non slr cameras.
the way you make it sound is like they are freaks for liking quality, which most of them are (there are ones that like the old ones because of the mechanics alone)

Casio makes terribad camera's, D| (not to sound like a douché however big one I happen to be) I am in digital media and well..my preferred choice of camera is a 2K + Pentax or Nikon

Vor einem Jahr hab ich mir für ca. 300 Euro die Casio EX-S770 Kamera gekauft. Diese war im Sommer schon schrott, weil irgendwie Sandkörner in die Kamera gekommen sind. Fand ich schon wunderlich, weil ich nur in Strandnähe war. Kostete mich dann 100 Euro Reperatur, weil Casio dafür keine Garantie übernehmen wollte. Vor zwei Monaten hab ich sie zurückbekommen. Heute dann der nächste Schaden: Das Display ist kaputt. Einfach so. Ohne Display ist die Kamera aber weitgehend wertlos. Mal schauen, was Casio sagt und ob diesmal die Garantie wenigstens zieht. Ich ärgere mich nur, dass ich soviel für eine Kamera ausgegeben habe, die innerhalb eines Jahres zum zweiten Mal kaputt ist. Und mich jetzt wieder mit dem Casio-Support rumärgern darf. Nochmal bin ich nicht bereit, Geld dafür auszugeben.
