The closest we've actually been to 'world ending' was new years 1999-2000, because computers and computer powered systems had a real chance of actually fucking up. I really really wish I had the means to begin my collection back when Good Smile's figure wasn't 300-500 bucks on ebay. I fondly remember this anime, and really really liked it enough to want to commemorate it with a figure, but... too much for now. I'll probably end up going for this one, even if I like the other one a bit better.

It is a splended figurine indeed of Horo the Wise Wolf. But the figurine industry last year started pricing all the 7 inch and 8 inch tall ones at 110 + dollars and after the Kos-Mos III (even larger) bikini figurine for like 125 bucks + shipping and 3rd day handling, paying 150 bucks for these any more is out of the question. Unless they provide a service, which they can't after all since they are not alive.
