    This is the best news I have heard all year...

    I won't say much, but I expect the same tribute/parodies of various videogame characters and scenarios, the shame 'shady' NPC's (that are literally NPCs), and the sweet yuri undertones between certain girls in this sequel...

    Be sure to reserve your "Special Edition" copies from NISA like the previous one to receive extra goodies...

    The last one that was a Deluxe Edition (different from the Special Edition) only sold in NISA's website had playing cards (along with a hard-cover, 60-page artbook) depicting all the girls in their normal and 'goddess' forms...

    (Compa x Nep-Nep...I trust you all remember THAT scene that the reviewer was bitching about...Nothing like seeing two Disturbingly Sexualized Young ANIME Girls in that position...)

    I merely complimented this wondrous game full of MOE~ goodness and reminded those interested to reserve their Special Edition copies of NISA's website to get the most goodies (artbook, OST CD, etc.)...

    Well my dear Anonymous, it's not like I play it with a boner, but you know, cute is sexy, so every once in a while, they act so cutely they do trigger DEH BONEH! and it's easier to fap when they are already half naked... truly, it's more about their actions really, I get boners on extremely non-sexualized games, it's just harder to fap when u gotta imagine what's underneath, so this actually makes the mid-game fapping faster so u can go back to playing sooner... That's my logic at least. It's like mid-night snacks, you can't run into a wall if u leave them beside your bed =D

    You actually liked the gameplay in the first one?...

    I really liked the artstyle, but the writing was just too uninspired to me. Also the gameplay is just an unbalanced mess.... not that one needs to worry since the game was ridiculously easy most of the time. Or at least when the AI doesn't forget to heal characters on their own.

    If you dont like the game, thats fine, but its another issue to be a critic/review and rate a game atrociously because it offended ur senses.

    I bought it to support 'em, since I'll play it eventually anyway. Right now I'm working on Cross Edge (Yeah... I know... work, ya know?) but I hear from my friends with a forlorn look downward that "Yeah the animations... are pretty bad..." I sincerely hope they've gotten the kinks out of their transition into 3D and are rising to the quality level. It's not even that hard to animate a halfway decent run cycle or a sectioned off 5-part jump for a game so they feel like they have some weight.

    Maybe this time though they'll get someone to play it who actually has a modicum of interest in a JRPG. And someone tell me if they do, because I have to prepare for the monkeys flying out of my butt.

    its about cost, iv played games with shitty animations, most aren't AAA because they have a budget... aside from anything elder scrolls, or fallout 3+

    really its about getting a mocap studios help, or having really talented animators. the talent goes to big publishers, and most of the talent that creates animation from next to nothing doesn't exist any more.

    mocap costs a fuck ton, and is why everyone who knows anything about it is excited about the kinect.

    That's not really true. Decent animators are easier to come by than you might imagine. I'd like to believe I'm one of them, but I also notice there are those who are slower, less experienced, or get a little complacent in the jobs. A lot of it isn't whether the animator is good, but whether the workplace is good, the project is good, or the communication is good.

    And motion capture isn't near as expensive as a small team of animators for a year unless you're hiring movie stars. The problem is motion capture isn't often a good solution for most games. We have to edit the shit out of most mocap data, and to give you an idea of how annoying that is, you know how 2D animators have to draw every frame? In 3D, once the model is done, you can do keyframes very quickly, and rely on the software to interpolate in an arc. Motion capture data we receive like 2D animations sometimes, with a keyframe every frame, which makes our jobs harder. It becomes problematic to work with, and the programs and methods we use that shave off keyframes still tend to sacrifice some initial quality.

    I just had to animate several dance animations for example. They were only a few seconds long each, but they took two weeks of work for about 16 seconds. That's about as complex as you can get in games besides interacting characters. Would have taken longer without reference, of course, but that's why we have libraries of it.

    And Kinect is impressive, but a long way from viable motion capture. It needs some tweaks to be reasonable. I personally would love to be able to use it to do my own mocap to get an animation started, but most of the animations you see in games are too short to make mocap viable. Most 1-2-second loops take more work to record, convert, and edit motion capture in most cases than it would be do to from scratch, depending on the case of course.

    Its ez to say that, however, professional critics like these guys does influence customers. Sure, opinions are like assese, everyone has one. But opinions and reviews from people from GameInformer weighs more than say just a regular gamer.

    Basically most of the western official reviews on this game was sexist based. It got low scores because the game was all about the sexualization of anime girls, not because of the gameplay or anything like that (I still have to play the game so I can't comment). Sure, gameplay might be an issue, but its not enough to give it like a 2. This would of been like a 6 or a 7. The sexualization aspect made the game a 2 in many of these reviewers mind.

    Im just saying, reviewing the game and giving it a bad mark is fine. But dont give it a horrible mark because you find the game offensive. As a critic reviewer, ur job is to report on how it is or how bad it is, not on how it offended you.
