Sex Crime Soldier Exposes Self to Avoid Exposure

A soldier arrested for sex crimes claims he did it to avoid being sent back to duties in Japan’s disaster areas.
The 31-year-old man, a petty officer aboard a submarine rescue vessel (pictured), was arrested for indecent exposure after he bared himself one afternoon at a Kanagawa video rental store.
According to police, he had already been dispatched to Japan’s disaster areas twice in order to help recover missing bodies at sea, and was set to go again in the near future.
He claims this was what led to his arrest:
“I felt that I did not want to go to the disaster areas. It was harsh work there, I was under a great deal of stress.”
Soldiers in lesser nations generally shoot themselves in the foot to avoid service – in Japan they apparently commit a sex crime instead.

Peeing in public will get you put on the registry in America. As will flashing, sexual assault ( rape ), molesting a child, and many other things. Basically, taking a whiz in public and getting caught will net you the same hatred from your community as raping a bunch of kids...

It's one of the reasons I read whenever there's a sex offender notice in my mailbox. Unless there's more than one crime on the list, it's almost always something that they did that the wrong person saw. Like being 18 and having sex with a 17-year-old and caught by parents. But the worst part is, all of them get lumped into the same level as the worst of them, and they do not deserve it. 'Rape' and 'sexual assault' is the type of language used for actual rapists, but 'sexual acts with a minor' alone can mean they were nude on their balcony and a parent called the cops because their kid glanced across the street.
One CSI episode put it clearly, a guy was being investigated who just happened to be in the proximity of a dead little girl and was on the list, but only because he had done LSD and ran out naked, and there happened to be school children there. Boom, end of his life. After they exposed him as a suspect, even after proving him completely unrelated, just a string of coincidences, his life was still ruined, because our system is utterly retarded. It may have been a show, but that's how it actually is.

Umm, the whole point was NOT to get away with it according to him. Since he was going to commit a crime where he wanted to be caught anyway, he should have picked one that offered a little more satisfaction. I just don't see dropping trou in front of a video store clerk as all that entertaining.

The sad thing is that people can't just simply say that they do not want to be forced to work in certain areas.
Think about this way: Most of the the worker in Fukushima aren't their on their own will. They are being forced to work there by threatening them with social and monetary repercussions. Most of them are underpaid part-time "hire-and-fire" workers with difficult backgrounds.
That's the true, ugly face of Japan. Time to get used to it.

My cop friend is with the APB unit. Once, he got a call to investigate a house which was emitting foul odor in the neighbourhood. When he broke in, turned out a senior citizen who lived alone died in there from heart attack. His corpse was already 5 days old and his stomach had burst. In his own words:
"My uniform had a dead man's stench for 3 days straight and I hadn't much appetite to eat in 6."
Imagine the pressure rescue workers have to go through, literally LOOKING for dead bodies. I respect those who can handle it(search and rescue are trained to handle that kind of pressure), but I won't scoff on a grunt soldier who's just honest with himself.
Anonymous, he joined the military. It is not some part-time job you can quit at a moment's notice.
Just because you're a soldier doesn't mean you have access to firearms, especially in a low-combat atmosphere like this.
