Madoka Figures None Too Promising?

Magical puella fans are lamenting the fact that Ume Aoki’s distinctive character designs are looking all but impossible to render into figures effectively – the first such figure to arrive, a bikini-clad Madoka, is looking distinctly awkward.
Beach queen Madoka herself is available for pre-orders now.
Fans are none too confident about the prospects for future figures – although another Aoki-design based figure shows that all is not lost:

Her face is like that in the anime, they had no other choice, though one would think the first figure would be in a puella form not bikini

Seems to be a budget figure... It's not expensive enough to be of great quality. Besides, no one cares about this small time; we're all waiting for Alter to come out with a set.

Animation (and all graphic art for that matter) is an ARTISTIC representation of reality or fantasy, therefore a figure of a human anime character should look like a real human, not like an anime character.
Then again I probably represent a minority on this subject.

I think the figure is a faithful representation of what is depecited in the anime, A+ for accuracy.
However with that said, the anime's character design itself wasn't exactly awesome sauce... it's the plot and the way the characters were used that made it an awesome anime, not the character design.

The face makes it look like one of those cosplays with the anime mask.
They are called "dollers" and they re scary as shit.
Considering the source material it doesn't look bad to me, but I guess I could see where those complainers are coming from but I mean, what did they really expect?...
& it is notably cheaper then pretty much every other figure I have took the time to check the price of so, meh...

It is simple. WAVE figures suck and always have. A better company will release a better figure. Stay away from anything made by WAVE.
To say the lest, it is distasteful to keep the name "WAVE" after such a tsunami in Japan ^_^;
Oh please... can't you just show some self-restraint and let people name their companies whatever they want?
If you think WAVE do horrendous job on their sculpt, you better stay away from TAKI; they made the worst figures and sell them for around $50 and above. You know they're just terrible judging from the fact that no matter how cheap HLJ put them on clearance, customers still won't consider buying them.

She doesn't seem too bad, just that she's not really suited for a bikini. Wave should ease up on their bikini line. They all seem a little too alike.

Its not the figures head that's wrong for all the morons saying its not wide enough. Its the fact that (because its is a swappable Beach Queen) it looks like the head was plopped on their makoto version.
