One fan of Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko was so taken with Shaft’s choice of heroine seating that he not only identified the designer chair in question, he went so far as to buy it and install it in his room for the full experience.
The chair is apparently a Finnish import and costs in the region of $1000 – it seems likely Shaft never laid eyes on the real thing but instead relied on the marvels of Google Images.
To top it all, the buyer doesn’t seem to like the chair very much:
“So, what’s it like?”
“You can’t hear much going on outside, it feels a bit strange. I don’t think you could sit in it for long periods.
I had to get it into my room on my own, that was tough…”

...Eero Aarnion's "Ball Chair" is pretty futuristic but its really confortable to sit in and for example listen music or read something... :)
just saying, how would you tie the futon around you? i mean you could wrap around the legs and then tie and pull up from there, but that requires no imagination. then theres always the option to pre tie the strings and wrap it around you when you already have the futon on. or maybe there's some type of secret alien technology that allows you to shoot futons at people that automatically tie themselves.
He should wrap himself in that mattres for 100% experience XD

I've sat in a chair similar to that before. And it sucks. Have fun watching your favorite movie on blueray, only having the stupid chair blocking half of your 7.1 surround sound.

It's expensive because it's an antique, designed in the 60's.
I would think it'd be possible to find one cheaper. Pretty sure the design first showed up in the 60s or 70s. I have a table that matches.
That's a damn fine room he's got there though. And a damn nice TV.

Haha, you can get one for ~$7000 at selected places. But still, it's a designer chair... classic one at that. Chairs like these are known to be ridiculously pricey. It's more like a collectible item than a really comfortable one. Classy to be in an anime, but I would prefer them put in an Eames chair instead.

I've been looking everywhere for the star prism thing...no luck:( If anyone knows where or what it's called. Do tell.
I've seen these "Star Projector Night Lights" on ebay for around $1 or more, US...it works on batteries and uses different color LEDs to make the cool star effect....changes different colors too, I believe. ^_^

It's called Astro Star Lamp. It's a kit though, so you'll have to assemble it yourself.
