I watch first episode and 50/50 to continue watch this show(cause slice of life is too boring, offer cute character with no plot at all). Now, I drop this show completely. Hey, Director, Did you know you just cross the line? There are always a line of stupidity you can make and you just cross it!

For those who like this show, I'm curious as to what exactly you like about the show. (and say it's the 'best of the season') Do you simply like it because the plot is different from the standard stuff? The characters? The production values?
I watched the first episode with pretty high expectations and came out pretty confused about how I felt about it. I mean, the first episode, to me, was really, really harsh. Yeah you have the 'cruel reality' of life being portrayed in the show, and I get that, but it didn't really sit right with me.
I also understand that the animation is pretty top notch most of the time and that, for some, is the main reason that they like it. For me, the animation, artstyle, writers, directors, voice cast and other production factors don't really influence my like for a show at all.
As of yet, I haven't had the time to check out the following episodes, but I'm really hoping it lightens up somewhat...

I like it because it's not the same usual loli/ecchi/tsundere/oppai/moe-shit you see all the time. It's a cute, funny story that makes you relaxed, and kind of makes you think about the things in life. And I think it's a good thing to see something that doesn't revolve around panties and breasts.
That being said, I also think it's more of a "girl"-anime.

I have not watched it yet, but I am curious if it's simply jdrama in anime form, as the previous ep summary notes the jdrama staples.
Harsh? How so? To me it looks like a young girl being thrust into a working environment. There are plenty of young people her age who get stuck in far harsher conditions, and if anything, her grandmother is not harsh. The woman's just trying to manage her business. It looks like a "coming of age" series to me.
Anyways, I'm enjoying the series. I'm hoping for excellent character development and continued high production values.

The characters are awesome, not some ripoff. also, I like the art and the story... and everything! The voices, the drama (now and then) and the comedy! (it's not really 'obvious' comedy, but I love it!)
