For those wondering, the pose depicted appears to be the major striding forward whilst donning or removing her jacket, quite an unusual (if not inexplicable) choice of pose.

I've got the 1/7 scale Motoko Kusanagi SAC 2nd GIG figure so I'm good.
The only criticism I have is that the ass needs to be just a bit bigger. Still, I want this figure so bad I could actually say Im otaku about it. After I get it though I'll be back to normal.

Ya gotta remember that Motoko Kusinagi isn't some bimbo that struts around trying to look good for otaku & pervs.
She's a Police Officer & a fully cybernetic "Combat" Professional Soldier.
At first glance, what sets the figure OFF as wrong, is her pants. If you go back to the episodes where she wears these particular pants.
You will notice that she wears them lower on her hips.
AND - they don't have baggy wrinkles,... They're cut more like Victoria Secret Stretch Jeans.
Also they got her eyes wrong, specifically the colour of her eyes - they're not brown/amber. Clue; Opening segment of SAC 1st Season...
They're more like a saphire tinged with lavender. They're supposed to be exotic, she is a woman after all.
Lastly,... her tits are also a little smaller than seen in the series.

What. If you are speaking anime-wise, her hair here is actually shorter than some of her shots in the anime. Also the color of her eyes is exactly like that in the comic version.

This is definitely worth buying, I love the pose & design of the figure in general, among other things...

Oh wow, just when I started rewatching SAC... now I'm really tempted to pre-order.
I'm also pleasantly surprised by the figure's quality. Lots of details and great paint job. I particularly like the face. It looked kinda off in the article thumbnail, but seeing it this close I have to admit it's done amazingly well.
The only Motoko figure worth owning is the Vice/Alter one. Pity everyone wants extortionate prices for it.

I'd really want this one to be my first figure, but the face is a bit lackluster. I think its because her eyes aren't as striking because they don't have the glossy tone and they're a bit too open.
Yeah, totally agree with you. Motoko Kusanagi is one of my favourite characters of all-time and there seems to be a recent boom of figures made of her (3 in the past couple of months). However, none of them get her face quite right, IMHO. I'd prefer her to have a more fierce look, though to be honest her expression here kind of suits the pose.
A fiercer look would be nice. I just love the fact that she's so hot but she's not trying to be anyone's eye candy. She's not trying too hard, she doesn't have any stereotypical cutesy "look at me" personality. She's just well-written and damn amazing at her job.
