A schoolgirl’s room which also doubles as a shrine to the pantheon of To Aru bishoujo has been attracting some appreciative attention on 2ch.
The room is introduced courtesy of a creepy oniichan snooping around his sister’s room:
“My little sister, a high schooler, has quite a room going. Check it out, ignore the Galaxy Fairy stuff though:”
2ch is not entirely convinced as to whether this belongs to the poster’s sister or the poster himself – although small details like the curtains and cushions suggest a female owner is a distinct possibility:
“Your room is pretty amazing, isn’t it?”
“This is scary.”
“Some nice pictures indeed, amazing.”
“Anyone who puts up that Kuroko underwear poster is a brave soul indeed.”
“Nice. You wouldn’t think it belonged to a high-school girl…”
“I want to live in a room like this.”

Something like this could likely pass for normal for a 17> aged girl in North America. Maybe.
As a 17< aged male, I'm still jealous.
Man, who cares about normal? :P Just do what you want!
I'm 23, but I would decorate my entire apartment like that if I had the money for it. :P
fuck yeah this ^^
seriously do whatever you feel and fuck the others :P
By others we mean this girl needs to hook up with her older siblings, who hopefully is female too seeing the strong yuri themes.
Not really.
She'd have to be a girl under 18 (1 in 9 chance), an anime otaku (1/30 maybe), lesbian/bi (1/10 chance), have access to spare money (around 1/2 chance taking the poor into account), and all in all she'd be about 1 in 5400. According to this estimate, there are currently less than 6,000,000 people in the United States that could have a room like this.
Normal girls in NA tend to have pictures of (real) men in their rooms, if they have any at all.
Statistics of actual gays shows that only 1.5% of the population is gay, with another 2.5 % is bi-sexual. So that's only 4% chance that any individual girl is lesbian/bi (1 in 25 chance).
The claim of bi/gay being 10% was a number pulled out of the air many decades ago, and it has never been true in any study. At most, researchers have fudged up the numbers from the actual 1-2 percent reported in all the studies to double that, for the people not comfortable enough to admit they were gay and ashamed enough to actively hide their preferences from researchers.
More people are attracted to pre-pubescent children than same sex. But they don't have the sympathy of American Hollywood industry nor the media, unless they are big celebrities.
have you ever been in a girls room im guessing not
NA is gay.
no it wouldnt
Yeah, jailbait weeaboos are a dime a dozen here.
Weaboo Weaboo Weaboo...
sounds like an ambulance.
I lol'd at this
no, I am not. sucker.
"The other girl"?
LOL, Poor Uiharu.
That joke never gets old~
And poor Jun Suzuki from K-ON!. She gets called "the other girl" too remember?
But in my book, I call her (one of my K-on) waifu~
Still, nobody will forget the pioneer; Tsugumi of Kannagi.
Yeah I really don't agree with that "Other girl" status they gave her. She's one of my favorites. Must be the episode where they asked her about the flower arrangement, that kinda sealed it for me :D
What I want to know is why this other girl's poster features in the article while Mikoto's doesn't...
What I want to know is:
How often does he jack off in his sister's room...
What I want to know is how often the sister shlicks to her harem :P
That was my reaction, too lol
The Saten & Kuroko posters were all I could stare at in the room....lol and then they were MINE!!
"The Other Girl"- that's what I always called her.
“Anyone who puts up that Kuroko underwear poster is a brave soul indeed.”
LOL Kuroko is so sexy!
The little sister definetely has the DNA/blood/genes of Kirino Kousaka. I am impressed!
I'm glad to know there are such girls who can become just otakus and not becoming some egomaniacal, delusional, creepy, and rabid fujoshis.
"...egomaniacal.."
Of course, I'm not implying this to all fujoshis but after seeing this, I seriously can't help but remembering that one arrogant bitch I saw in Gamefaq forums who frequently bashed people who's into RPG loli and boobish characters but on the other hand loves to flood the whole boards with her squeel when someone mentioned about the dudes in Tales Series making out.
.. One of the main reason why I quit the Tales Fandom.
There's good fujoshi and bad fujoshi, most of my female friends are so I can tell. Same applies to us yuri fanboys I guess. The one possibility that nobody is rising is for his sister to be a lesbian.
Support her oniicha!
ITT: A lot of male otaku who hate to have their misconceptions proven wrong or one person with several accounts. Your guess.
Amen, yaku.
@topic
I am definitely a fangirl, and love yaoi AND yuri, but yuri more than yaoi. Most yaoi fans I know like yuri a lot as well. Heck, yuri is aimed 50% at women, including some yuri hentai porn games. A lot of yaoi authors draw yuri for Yuri Hime. The Sonohana author changed some of the Sonohana writing after feedback from his legion of female fans. Aoi Shiro is more aimed at women than at men, and it's 100% yuri, with only three old men in the game and everyone else being a girl!
Generalizing that fujoshi "hate" yuri is bullshit. The biggest group of yuri haters is fanboys who feel threatened by women not needing men. See whiny fanboys who insist that Nanoha and Fate can't be a couple, and that Konoka and Setsuna from Negima aren't in love despite sharing tongue kisses.
In other words: Lamberto, you're a moron. Sorry, but it's true. ONE fangirl hating yuri means nothing at all. It's not women who hate yuri mostly, it's men. Go bitch at them.
And while you're busy bitching and crying, I'm going to enjoy the Sonohana OVA. Mmm, yuri.
I'm a fujoshi in the sense that I like BL (but not all BL, I'm quite critical of a lot of shitty, overly cliche BL, I'm really more into doujinshi), but much more a 'female otaku' in the sense of everything else. I'm pretty quiet IRL and never do anything fucktarded like the fat american fangirls you tend to see at conventions. Please dont think all fujoshi are like that, saying that all fujoshi are fat and disgusting and 'egomaniacal' or whatever is no different to saying all otaku are pedophiles.
Also, my room looks like this! I have a lot more manga and figures and less posters though. I don't see why it's so surprising, or why it would mean the girl is a lesbian. I'm straight, I just like to admire both cute girls and cute boys because they are nice to look at.
@The REAL Lamberto:
Given the kind of comments you've written in this post, I can take you don't have a lot of female friends, just from the generalizations you make.
"Most of you girls despise lolis and yuri while you squee over your shotas and yaoi."
How many girls did you meet that were little whiny bitches who talked nonstop about BL? if you tell me "one" please shut up because one fujoshi doesn't represent the whole fandom. If you were less judgmental you'd find that there are women who love both in spades.
And why is despising yuri and loli but loving shota and men a bad thing? You can say the same thing about male otaku: "all of them love yuri and loli they're all damn chauvinists pigs oh gosh make me sick". It's the same judgmental crap. You like what you like and I like what I like, the end. If one fangirl tells you you're gross then flip her off and find other girl-friends, there are some cool cats in the fandom if you look.
All I'm saying is that having those kind of assumptions won't help matters. It'll be awesome if you find a lot of cool female otaku/fujoshi. Trust me they're around.
I feel strangely attracted to shuubi for some reason .
@shuubi
you should not have so much figurine
[http://accesstoblockedsites.com/browse.php?u=Oi8vd3d3LnNhbmtha3Vjb21wbGV4LmNvbS9tZW1iZXJzL3NodXViaS8=&b=5]@Shuubi State your opinion about Girls Love and then maybe I'll reconsider mine about you fujoshis. Most of you girls despise lolis and yuri while you squee over your shotas and yaoi.
@Shuubi
Amen, my sister, amen.
She just happens to like girls. Young ones at that :3
Reminds me of seeing a high-school girl buying Mashimaro Ichigo in Akihabara. ^_^
So his "sister" is a lesbian. Not hard to believe. What else WOULD a lesbian anime fan have in her room?
Marimite figures prominently in mine. <.<
I like how Aneko's ava goes well with her reply <3 So cute ~
Kannazuki no Miko figures and Nanoha figures, like my room is decorated with. <_<
What else would a girl put up?
Okay, I have a Kuroko too...sob.
Don't forget NANA. I've had the same calendar page showing for five years.
To be honest, I absolutely hate yaoi. With a passion. But I like yuri. Typically people end up thinking I'm a lesbian though..
Heh, that's because so much yaoi is objectifying rape shit. Yuri has story and characters more often.
*also a female who prefers yuri to yaoi*
I hate both actually
just come out of the closet!! :p
*a lesbian who likes yuri :D*
OMG!! PLEASE replace my little sister!! Your room looks a LOT better! Wanna make a trade?
My room is almost exactly like that.
What's the difference?
true, then again we dont need some fat girls who wont stfu about yaoi pairings and other bullshit .... im so sorry :)
It cracks me up that I get downvoted for wanting a more equal ground for everyone instead of playing double standards. Stay classy as always guys.
By the way the "male otaku lusting over yuri pairings" was a jab at the anon for his generalization, but hey maybe the truth hurts for some of you.
I'm totally with Yaku this time. I don't get it why she's getting (-0.6). I tried to find any offensive part (whether deliberately or not) and I found nothing. Instead of the baseless typical annoying fangirl bashes which gave the whole fujoshi community a bad name, what Yaku stated and stressed here made sense; Why do fujoshis get more frowns over their lust on 2D hunks and instantly getting stamped as "Fat noisy virgins". Honestly, that phrase is the one we should consider as insulting since basically that's the same way we normal male otakus won't like it when normies tend to judge us as "Fat disgusting nerds who have no girl/friends".
Oh yes, I do sometimes stated in certain posts or comments mentioning that Yuri is superior than Yaoi all just because the former one has some tendencies of becoming a bisexual scene. Also, I admit it; I'm not into Yaoi but seriously, that doesn't conclude that I hate every single girl who's into that stuff.
Yea, I have armpit, glasses and gothloli fetish but that dude right there likes spats, big hips and has foot fetish. So what? As long as he doesn't suddenly approach me and start saying "Armpits are disgusting, Glasses make a girl look ugly, and Gothlolis are outdated.", I'm totally fine on what s/he's into. If I may still ended up feeling uncomfortable (for example; my personal view on Ryona/Gore stuff), the best thing to do is just ignore and scram.
Then again, I rather have a fujoshi (especially if they have a similar positive mindset like Yaku) viewing my stuff compared to normalfags who will frown and start to lecture me about how to live in a so-called healthy community when they see my Bunny Girl OreImo casts wallpaper.
How's that any different from male otaku lusting over yuri pairings? I agree a lot of them just don't shut the hell up, but playing double standards won't help matters.
baaaaaaaw

Men can put up pro wrestling, MMA or whatever posters you guys want. Girls can put up lingerie themed poster and it's about the same idea. lol
The underlying implication of kuroko being there is amusing.
I kinda wondered if this girl ever dream of Kuroko addressing her as Onee-sama.... considering she's the little sister of the dude who posted these photos.
Maybe she is the real life Kirino Kousaka ^_^
