The faces in K-On WERE cheaply drawn faces (as in very little details). So of course the figure would look like that, too. It's just the nature of K-On's character style.

Something's wrong... 1/4 means it's 4 times shorter than real size, right? I checked playasia, the site says "about 220mm"... 220m = 22cm. 22cm x 4=88cm. So Mugi is a midget?

Five-year old loli face on adult body. It takes a woman, turns her into a girl, and then makes a mockery even of that by making her into a child so that the viewer can sympathize/empathize with the character.
The design actually impacts the treatment of the plot (can't be too serious or do anything that greatly changes the world!) AND the character development, which is nonexistent. I think a lot of us find it creepy.
Good moe doesn't do that. It only uses that as a visual style without impacting the story. Examples of good moe elements would be Kannagi, Toradora, Clannad, or Lucky Star.
I can sense the strong bias energy here the moment you mentioned Lucky Star in that category.

Not sure how i feel about this. Mugi is my favorite character (yui doesnt count because its safe to say that everyone likes Yui), but i just dont know... I really dont recall her being so well developed, yet she is. I mean i'm all for big breasts and everything but damn it i want accuracy first if you make a figure of a character.
